Chapter Eighteen

Mushk laughs at his look, breaking his trance.

"Why are you laughing love?" Zohan smilingly asks her.

"You look like a lovesick puppy.",Mushk giggles at him.

Amused at her words, Zohan holds her hand and tugs her towards him, she falls on his chest and immediately tries to get up, but he tightens his hold on her.

"What happened? Where did your laugh go? You can carron with your laugh, please." Zohan teasingly tells her, who looks here and there, not able to meet his eyes.

Upon not getting any answer he leaves her, knowing that she needs some time to grasp everything, he kisses her forehead and lays down smiling at her.

"Now sleep, I won’t hesitate to tease you again."Zohan tells her, who hurriedly gets up and settles down on the other side.

He chuckles at her and switches off the lamp mumbling something about how cute his wife is.

Mushk lays down caressing Murtaza’s hair and looks in front, where Zohan was now in a deep slumber.

Maybe, just maybe things won't be hard anymore, thinking this, soon sleep engulfs her.

In the morning, Zohan wakes up feeling some tiny hands slapping his face, he opens his eyes to see Murtaza on his chest with a toothless smile, seeing him Zohan's lips breaks into a full blown smile, adoration filled in his eyes for the toddler. He thought Murtaza will take some time to open up to him, but here he was, blabbering his heart out.

He sits up, holding Murtuza in his arms ,and looks around to see Mushk, who was sitting in front of the vanity,. A serene look present on her face after the talk, which happened between the couple yesterday.

He smiles at his wife who was getting ready. Mushk gets up and turns towards the bed to take Murtaza, he knew they were already up, as she was the one who had placed Murtaza on Zohan's chest, so that he can wake him up and bond a little.

"You may go and get fresh, then we can go together downstairs" Mushk tells to Zohan taking Murtaza from his arms.

Zohan smiles at her. Nodding his head, he moves towards the bathroom while Mushk takes Murtaza to get ready, blowing raspberries on his stomach making the room echo with his baby laugh.

Smiling at the baby, she continues to change his dress and gets him ready. Zohan comes out of the washroom in his kurta pajama and the both go downstairs with Murtaza in Mushk's arms.

They get down to see everyone already on the table, waiting for them. Mushk notices that her mother in law wasn't happy with the news she got.

"He’s a child, he will cry for a few minutes and then get silent himself! It was the first night of your marriage!" She was cut off by Zohan's stern voice.

"This is our personal matter and this child has come to us with trust by someone, we can’t disappoint them." ,Zohan sternly tells his mother, who just scoffs.
