Chapter Thirty Six

"Why?" She brokenly whispers, her face was blank, tears dried up. She didn’t have any more tears left to waste on this man.

Zohan laughs hearing her. Getting out of Soniya’s hold, he goes towards her.

“You know why? I love to see this helpless look on your face. It gives me satisfaction that I can control your life and those two pieces of shit’s too." He tells her, holding her chin.

His words like venom on her poor fragile heart ,but hearing his last words, anger bubbles in her. Pushing him back, she sarcastically laughs at him.

“You think you are controlling our lives? Who told you so? You’re delusional Zohan! If you’re controlling us, then who is controlling you Zohan?” Her question leaves him speechless.

Not having anything to say to her angered him. He held her hair in a tight grip making her hiss.

“You think you can outsmart me? Keep your tongue in check, or else I won’t spare those bastards of yours who are living off of my money.” He blackmails her once again, but her face hardens hearing the word he used for her children.

Smirking at him, she comes out of his hold and holds his collar, jerking him towards him.

“Think twice before calling my son a bastard, we all know who is the bastard here.” Her words provoked him and he slaps her ,making her fall on the floor. Her lip started bleeding from the corner.

~Flashback~

Mushk goes towards the washroom wincing at every step, Zohan had done a good number on her when she stops hearing Zohan pleading, more like desperately talking to someone on phone.

She moves near the balcony to hear what he was saying, and her eyes widen in shock hearing his words.

"I know I know. She will leave me once she gets to know that I'm a bastard child, I can't believe dad would do this to me." Zohan yells at someone on the phone.

"What was my mistake? That I was born out of wedlock, gosh I can't believe this." Zohan exasperates.

Tears well up in her eyes hearing his words, what was her mistake in this? If he would've already told her all this, she would've understood his plight. Mushk was an open minded person and would’ve never judged or blamed Zohan for the mistake his parents had committed.

She was still in her daydream when Zohan came in and in one glance he knew that she was aware about him.

"You were eavesdropping?" Zohan calmly tells her to take small steps towards her who moves back scared of his next step.

"So...you did...all of that with me because you were a bastard?" Mushk questions, taking deep breaths.

"I'M NOT A BASTARD." Zohan roars at her who flinches back.

"And you are never ever going to leave me understood?" He yells at her, shaking her form. She chuckles hearing his words.

"You know what? I didn't plan on leaving you ever, but after your behavior, I'll surely leave when Mustafa wakes up."As soon as the words left her mouth, she was rewarded with a slap.
