The Alpha's Daughter novel Chapter 7

We were holding each other screaming expecting to meet our end by some demon.

We soon stopped once we realized the person standing there was actually her mother.

We looked at each other quickly letting go of the other blushing. We were so embarrassed we couldn't even say anything.

Her mom smiled at the two of us. “Aww Roxanne is this your boyfriend he's so cute” She exclaimed. I smiled at her trying to ignore the fact that my face was on fire.

“Mom this is Aiden my friend” Roxy said, her face still a bright shade of pink and her mom nodded.

“I know who you're talking about. You know what I could have sworn I've heard something about you before you joined this pack,” Her mom said and I felt like every color that was in my face was now gone.

“What is she talking about?” Roxy asked and I groaned internally cursing my luck. Of course something like this would come up so soon after the talk we had.

“No disrespect ma'am I don't believe I know what you're talking about” I said the guilt gnawing at me.

She shrugged “It probably was nothing anyways. Roxy I need you to run to the store for me” Roxy groaned slipping out of bed.

“Okay do you have a list for me this time?” She asked her mom who rolled her eyes as she held out a piece of paper.

Roxy grabbed this list slipping on her shoes as her mom waved goodbye to me stepping out of the room.

“Can you come with me? You know just in case I need someone to reach on the higher shelves for me. I can never touch anything up there” She said fluttering her eyelashes and I nodded smiling at her.

The ride to FoodieMart was quicker than I thought it would be. Or maybe it had something to do with Roxy’s odd fascination of being a racecar driver.

We went inside and I grabbed a buggy as Roxy quickly took off down the candy aisle. I shook my head, chuckling while following her.

I followed after her and indeed she couldn't reach the top shelf. She was trying her hardest though.

I saw her standing on the bottom shelf balancing herself trying to reach a bag of skittles.

I walked over pressing against her back reaching over her to grab it. I tossed the skittles into the cart.

She looked flustered, her cheeks changing a soft shade of pink. She was blushing because of me the thought made me want to smile.

She quickly moved to stand on the edge of the buggy and smiled at me. I arched an eyebrow looking at her confusingly.

“What are you doing?” I asked and she smiled sleepily; dramatically placing a hand on her forehead.

“I'm so tired” She said and I shook my head at her pushing her along to the next aisle.

“You know we've only been here for like 10 minutes,” I said, watching as she climbed inside the buggy .

“Yeah 10 minutes too long I’ve grabbed my candy so all my shopping is done” She said and I chuckled.

We gathered all the things on the list. With me having to help her reach for something occasionally.

We were packing the stuff into the car until Roxy started laughing randomly.

“Are you okay?” I asked, glancing at her worriedly.

She nodded “We were so scared when my mom started opening the door" She said and I joined in on her laughter.

“I know it was so weird how as soon as the dude started opening the door so did your mom” I said and Roxy nodded.

We got into her car and headed home laughing about the whole thing throughout the whole car ride.
