The Alphas Princess novel Chapter 6

I could feel her crying I could feel her distress. I opened my eyes and shot up straight. I looked over and saw my mate sound asleep beside me. He looked so calm and relaxed it seemed like he was always angry or being possessive no doubt due to the alpha and demon genes he was blended with. I kissed his forehead forcing a nice dream to conjure inside of him something to ease his demon side too. I smiled at the images that now played in his mind.

"Sable" I whispered softly. I could feel a nightmare in this house and I felt the strong urge to stop it especially if it was hurting her. I shook my head and laid back down shutting my eyes. I allowed the sleep to overcome me but I forced myself into Sables subconscious to fight her nightmare. I could see her body physically shaking and breaking out in cold sweats from the nightmare. My heart was aching seeing her like this I had to get into the nightmare if I was to eliminate it. I shut my eyes and forced myself into the nightmare I saw lurking over Sable. It was a dark scene I saw lifeless wolf bodies scattered around the ground; some slouched over fallen tree logs.

I saw the ground below painted with blood and bits of fur. I looked passed it all and my eyes fell on a younger version of Sable laying on the ground hugging her knees to her chest and I could hear the slightest cry and sniffle from her, she couldn't have been more than 4 or 5 years of age. I bent down and caressed her face lightly and I cupped the side of her face in my hand turning it slightly to look at me.

"What happened?" I asked her softly and nuzzling the side of her face. She let out a whimper and tears began streaming down her face. "My family, they're all gone that bad wolf hurt them." The young Sable said still shaking lay on her side. My ears twitched on top my head alerting me of someone's presences. I growled and looked to the shadows now darkening around us. A pair of glowing red eyes met mine I could see anger and something else something that wasn't human nor wolf.

"What do you want with the child?" I asked the being not fearing it at all. "Hungry want the small ones fear." The being responded neither moving nor blinking. "You shouldn't be here Luna please go get out of here this isn't safe." I turned my head around to see the current Sable looking down at me resting her hand on my shoulder. "No Sable this is only a nightmare I will deal with this." I said lunging for the being that remained clouded in the shadows. My body struck nothing but air I shook and regained my footing. How did I miss I had the creature in perfect reach. I backed away from the shadows that were filling my peripheral vision and returned to the young Sable curled up on the ground. I looked away from the younger Sable to the older one.
