Chapter 407 Separate Ways

Eleanor hurried over, and soon, her joyous voice could be heard. “Mr. Guerra! You’re back! Come, the food has just been served. Let me get you a set of utensils!”

Josiah crossed the living room. Lysander, keeping her gaze lowered, could still sense his eyes on her.

However, they didn’t stay on her for too long.

Josiah pulled out a chair and sat down on the other side of Susan, perfectly facing Lysander.

However, neither of them said a word to each other.

Susan explained. “Lysander came to visit me today, so she stayed to have dinner with me.”

Josiah didn’t even lift his head. He simply hummed in acknowledgment. “Mom, after dinner, could you ask Eleanor to pack your things? I’ve bought you a new house. You’ll be moving there soon.

Susan was somewhat taken aback. “Why is that?”

“Houses made of wood are quite prone to catching fire in the winter, making them somewhat unsafe. Moreover, the Thome manor next door also needs to carry out some repairs, which will inevitably cause a considerable amount of noise during the construction. Given that you already have trouble sleeping, it might be best to find another place to stay.”
