Chapter 411 Shameless Couple

When she returned home in the evening, Lysander explained to her parents the unexpected situation that had occurred at the Everhart residence that day.

The two elders expressed their understanding.

Maverick said, “At our age, we all have elders to care for and children to look after. And most of the elderly are in their seventies or eighties. This is something we can understand. We can have a meal anytime. Tending to Old Mrs. Everhart’s health is of utmost importance.”

Lysander gave a hum of acknowledgment. “Mom, Dad, how about I take you out for dinner now?”

Maverick waved his hand dismissively. “I’m so fed up. I don’t even feel like eating anymore.”

Confused, Lysander looked toward her mother.

Laura helplessly said, “It’s Michelle. She mentioned something about a high school get–together, and not long after she came back, she went out again. It’s already so Tate, yet she hasn’t returned. I’ve been calling her, but no one’s answering. She’s a young girl, and it’s so dangerous for her to be out late at night.”

Maverick, infuriated, slammed his hand on the table. “No, I must go find her.”

Laura grabbed his arm. “Where are you going to look for her? Do you have any idea where she might be?” 

Lysander asked in confusion, “Did Michelle mention where she was going when she left?”

“She didn’t bother mentioning it, considering how distracted she was. Before I could even finish my sentence, she had already left.”

Lysander said, “Let’s do this. You two should eat first. I know a few of her high school friends..I’ll ask them where they are gathering, and then I’ll go pick up Michelle.”

Once she stepped outside, Lysander made a few phone calls.

However, the outcome was somewhat worrisome as Michelle’s classmates were completely unaware of any planned get–together.

Lysander couldn’t help but feel irritated. Ever since she started university, she had been keeping a lot of secrets.

Fortunately, one of Michelle’s female classmates offered a hint. “Lysander, I think you should check out Skywatch,

After expressing her gratitude, Lysander immediately hailed a cab and headed straight for Skywatch.

She had initially thought all karaoke places were pretty much the same. One could simply choose a private room at the front desk, pick out their drinks and snacks, and then head into the room to start singing 

However, when the car stopped at Skywatch’s entrance, she was dazzled by the magnificent golden building before her eyes.

Chapter 411 Shameless Couple

The entire building was designed in the style of the Rodunstian era, with eight large pillars at the front, all in a pure gold hue. Uniformed security guards stood at the entrance, giving it an appearance far from the average karaoke bar.

Lysander thought. Ihat’s Michelle doing here?

At first glance, it was clear that this was not a place where a university student could afford to spend.

As she was entering, the security guard stopped her, saying, “Are you alone?”

Lysander looked up and asked. “Is this a karaoke bar?”

“Yes, but-

“Can’t a person go to karaoke alone?”

The security guard shook his head. “I’m sorry. Please come in.”

Even though she had mentally prepared herself, upon entering. Lysander was still taken aback by the sheer opulence of the decor.

“Lysander?”

When Lysander turned around, Aiden was also somewhat taken aback.

He was slightly tipsy, not appearing entirely lucid, with a faint hint of drunkenness. “You’re here? Are looking for Josiah? Come on. Let me take you inside.”

As he spoke, he reached out to pull her toward him.

Lysander hid her hands behind her back and avoided him. “No. I’m looking for someone else. I’ll be going

now.”

“Are you upset, Lysander? Don’t be. Since you’re here, come on. Let’s go.”

After having a bit of alcohol, Aiden grew bolder. He went behind Lysander and gave her a gentle push.

Lysander simply couldn’t withstand the strength of a grown man, and with his push, she was sent stumbling forward several steps, crashing straight into someone.

The scent of tobacco was overwhelming on that person.

The reek prompted her to frown. In her fluster, she apologized, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to—”

When Lysander lifted her head, she found herself looking directly into Josiah’s familiar face.

His light blue shirt was already somewhat crumpled, with a few vibrant red lipstick marks still lingering on

Upon closer inspection, she realized that the fragrance originated from the long–haired beauty leaning against Josiah’s shoulder.

The woman’s curly, raven–black hair partially concealed her face, but one could still make out her crimson lips and fair complexion. She wore a fiery red bodycon dress that accentuated her figure, making her look incredibly alluring.

Or rather, she had never seen that woman before.

She nonchalantly brushed her hair back with a myriad of grace, her eyes half–closed. Resting her chin on Josiah’s shoulder, she asked with a faint smile, “Who is this?”

Aiden forestalled him and quickly replied, “She’s Josiah’s official wife. All right, get up already and keep your distance from Josiah. Can’t you read the room now that his wife is here?”

Wearing an indifferent expression, Josiah responded curtly, “No.”

The woman chuckled. “That’s right. I’ve met your wife before, and she doesn’t look anything like this. Mr. Aiden, have you had too much to drink? How could you mistake two completely dissimilar people?”

The woman chuckled. “Mr. Guerra, how could you have so many wives?”
