Josiah glanced toward Lysander, but Lysander was engaged in conversation with Maverick. Not wanting to interrupt, Josiah had no choice but to leave the ward alone.

Lysander stepped aside to let him check. “Would you like to take a look?”

Maverick carefully scanned the surroundings, confirming that Josiah was indeed nowhere to be seen before he slowly nodded. “That’s good. Good men are rare in this world. If he continues to bother you, you don’t have to entertain him.”

Lysander took the elevator straight up to the sixteenth floor.

Josiah softly asked, “Has Mr. Thorne’s mood improved?”

“I found my biological parents and then there’s you. With these two matters events combined, how could he possibly be happy?” Lysander sighed slightly, then asked, “What about Aurora? Is she still at the hotel? Can we rely on the person you found?”

Josiah shook his head. “I wasn’t comfortable leaving Aurora there, so I asked a service staff who had taken care of her before to accompany her. They are currently in Mrs. Thorne’s ward.”

Josiah naturally assumed that he would be returning with Lysander. At that moment, he simply asked, “Are we leaving now?”
