The Good Girl's Revenge novel Chapter 30

That night, Derek didn't go back to the Xaviers at all. "Perhaps, he doesn't want to see me," Meredith thought to herself.

By coincidence, she didn't want to see him, lest she remembered something she shouldn't have.

After a while, someone called her.

Meredith picked it up and realized it was Ava.

"How's it going? Are you enjoying your life in the new company, sister?"

In the middle of filming, when Ava was having free time, she suddenly remembered that she had sent someone to Meredith's company to "accidentally" spread the truth that Meredith had been in prison.

She thought that her useless sister who knew nothing should have been scared to death by the hurtful rumors.

"How do you know where I work... It's you?" Meredith instantly understood what had happened and gripped the phone tightly. Because of the force, there were even veins on the back of her hand.

How much did her sister hate her? She even spread that in her new company, making her restless.

"It's me, but so what? Just enjoy it. Let me guess how long you can insist on working in that company? I'm afraid it won't last more than a month. Trash!"

"Stop caring about me. Don't worry. I won't let you succeed." Meredith gritted her teeth and hung up the phone.

If she heard Ava's voice again, she would be so angry that she would smash her phone.

Trying to calm her breathing, Meredith finally calmed down, but suddenly remembered something.

It turned out that Derek didn't do those things at the company, so she misunderstood him...

Thinking about it, Meredith was a little embarrassed. She took out her cell phone and called Derek. She wanted to say sorry, but the phone rang and then was hung up.

It seemed that he hated her even more, but no wonder...

Meredith shook her head helplessly, but she didn't call again. If she always called Derek, she was afraid that he would be impatient.

...

In the next day.

As soon as Meredith arrived at the company, she found her desk in a mess. Everything was turned upside down, as if her desk had just suffered from a theft.

Although she knew that she had offended Rachel and it was hard for her to continue working in the company, the behavior of her colleagues still made her a little angry. "What have you all done?"

This was the first time Meredith had spoken loudly to these colleagues.

"Since you're leaving, we need to check if you've taken anything that you shouldn't have. If we lose something and you have already left, where can we find them?"

Meredith felt aggrieved when everyone saw her as a thief.

To be fair, although she could only do some trivia in this company, she was very conscientious in everything and never dared to neglect her work. She smiled and agreed to whatever her colleagues asked her to do.

But in the end, they only treated her like a thief.

Was it true that once others knew she was sent to prison before, she could only live under their prejudice forever?

"Are you done checking?" Meredith tried to hold back her grievances and helplessness, pretending that nothing had happened.

The colleagues didn't find anything and were somewhat ungratified. They looked at the things on her desk and found her USB flash disk. "This one needs to be checked too."

Of course, Meredith had nothing to be afraid of. She always behaved with integrity, so how could she leave something behind?

However, after a while, a few colleagues suddenly began to discuss seriously, "Meredith, why are you so insidious that you have copied the files of our company's customers? Are you going to poach our customers after leaving?"

Meredith's eyes widened in disbelief. It was impossible.

Not to mention that she didn't have such an idea, even if she did, normally, she would not have access to such important documents, how could them be copied?

Someone must be setting her up!

"I never copy them. You guys don't usually show me these files," Meredith argued.

"But you can secretly copy them while you are helping someone, right?"

"Exactly. I think it's possible. No wonder she's so diligent. She has planed for this from the beginning."

"She is such a bitch."

A few colleagues did not listen to Meredith's explanation at all. They chattered and quickly settled her charge. They were also going to drag Meredith to see the general manager and asked him to deal with her properly to let others know that what she had done was illegal.

Only then did Rachel speak in time. "Leave this to me. The documents she has copied is mine."

Meredith understood it all at once. It was probably Rachel's plan. Rachel's heart was so vicious that Rachel almost made her lose her virginity yesterday and slandered her for stealing today.

"Hmm? For what happened yesterday, think about it. If you agree, I'll say I copy those documents and forget to delete them. If you don't agree..."

Rachel didn't say the rest, but it was very threatening.

Meredith looked at her hatefully, her nails pinched into her palms, and the tingling sensation made her extremely clear-headed.

"Stop dreaming! I won't have sex with that scumbag."

That Mr. Lee showed his true colors yesterday. If she went, she didn't know what would happen. Anyway, nothing good would happen.

"We can do it the easy way, but you ask for the punishment!" Rachel was so angry that she dragged Meredith to the general manager's office. "I tell you, we can fire you because you steal the confidential information from the company. What's more, we can even sue you."

Meredith's body shook. After the last dark memory, she now had a deep shadow on the court and the and other similar places, and she would be very scared when she thought of it.

She was terrified of the terrible days without hope, the days when she was wronged but could not tell others the truth.

Meredith's emotions suddenly became uncontrollable, and she pushed Rachel desperately, trying to break free.

But Rachel didn't let go. Meredith had no choice but to bite Rachel's arm and force her to let go after Rachel saw her arm bleeding.

"This crazy woman bites me! Grab her!" Rachel shouted, stomping her foot in anger as she watched Meredith run away.

How dare Meredith bite her? She had to send this damn woman to Mr. Lee's bed and let him torture her to death.

"Why are you arguing?" Just as a group of people were about to grab Meredith, suddenly, a refined but emotionless voice sounded. "What happened?"

Parker stood not far away, frowning at the farce, his voice clearly unhappy.

Parker was the new partner of the company. Although he just started in this new position, he had great strength and could not be underestimated.

Naturally, the people present did not dare to offend him.

Seeing Parker coming, all the colleagues tacitly blamed Meredith for what happened. In a few words, she was portrayed as a thief who entered the company through an improper channel, but was crooked and only thought about how to gain improper benefits.

"I didn't!" Hearing the nonsense, Meredith raised her eyes and looked into Parker's eyes.

Only then did Parker see Meredith's face clearly.

The woman in front of him was wearing a simple white shirt and a black skirt. Without make-up, her fair face was immaculate and natural.

And what surprised him most was that her eyes were so clean without any impurities. Even if there was a flicker of grievance and anger in them, it did not diminish the beauty of her eyes at all. Instead, her eyes were more vivid.

The man's eyes dimmed, as if he had thought of something. "Then tell me, what's going on?"

Meredith was stunned. She thought no one would listen to her, but this seemingly unreachable man in front of her did not look down on her...

She bit her lip and ventured her speculation.

"This a vicious slander!" Rachel broke out in a cold sweat, because Meredith was right.

The files on Meredith's USB flash disk were copied by her in advance this morning.

Her purpose was to scare Meredith and make her stay with Mr. Lee as soon as possible.

"Finding out if it's true or not, we just need to check." Parker looked at Rachel coldly, as if he wanted to see through her heart.

Soon, Parker called in a few people from the information department, and it was found that the document was copied this morning.

At that time, Meredith was not at the company at all.

Everyone was silent.

"You are wronged. Don't worry, I will give you an explanation." Seeing this, Parker patted Meredith on her shoulder.

"In the future, all of you are not allowed to spread false information in the company. As for Miss Garcia, you have framed your colleague for no reason. I will discuss your future with other directors of the company."

Rachel's body collapsed to the ground. The company was trying so hard to flatter Parker recently. In front of him, she, a sales director, was nothing. Firing her was such a simple matter.

Meredith looked at Rachel's dejected face and felt something unbelievable in her heart. It was as if this was the first time she had been trusted, and she could finally hold her head high.

Thinking about it, she chased after Parker and said solemnly, "Thank you."

Parker looked at her with interest. "Just 'thank you'? Why do I feel that you are insincere?"
