Edward saw that it's from Vanessa, and he did not answer the call. He walked over to Susan and carried her up to the room.

Susan opened her eyes in great difficulty and saw Edward, “Honey, why are you back again?”

“Can you stand up if I don't?” Susan wanted to say something but she didn't know what else to say.

She did have menstrual pains during her period, but she had never felt so much pain before... She didn’t know what happened either. “Thank you, Honey.” Susan's lips were pale as she said that to Edward.

She actually still wanted to force a smile out so Edward wouldn't be so worried for her, but she was really powerless.

“What were you doing just now? I'll help you.”

“Please pour me a glass of hot water, Honey.” Susan stopped pretending and asked for Edward's help, even when she said that she sounded extremely weak.

Edward quickly stood up, went to the kitchen, poured hot water into a glass, and quickly returned to the bedroom.

Just in that short time, Edward walked into the bedroom and found out that Susan fell asleep already.

She looked so pale as she frowned, and there were also sweats on her forehead.

“Susan?” Edward tried to call Susan’s name, but Susan still gave no response, “Susan?” Edward called her name again... Susan still gave no response, “Susan?!”

Edward became anxious, he quickly walked over to Susan and touched Susan's forehead, it was burning hot!

He immediately leaned down and carried Susan out of the door, then he placed her in the car.

Since Edward entered, his phone kept ringing... It had been 10 minutes since then and Vanessa was still calling him.

Edward couldn't answer it, he quickly brought Susan to the First hospital and looked for the head of the hospital in panic.

The head of the hospital from the First hospital rushed over after hearing the news and called all the experts who were off night shift, they all surrounded Susan like they were researching on a big surgery.

“I'll be leaving her in your care!” Edward looked at the situation, Susan's life... Should be okay, he then took his phone to the corridor and answered the call.

Right when Edward answered the call, Vanessa sounded like she heaved a sigh of relieve, “Edward, you're okay, right? Where are you? Why didn't you answer the call?”

“I'm at the First hospital. Something happened to Susan, I'm not going there tonight.” Edward's voice was indifferent like he was just describing a fact.

“Huh? What happened to Ms. White?” Vanessa pretended to be worried as she asked.

But she didn't get Edward's answer after asking that, she just heard the head of the hospital who started calling Edward to explain the situation. Then he just hung up on Vanessa like that. After he hung up on Vanessa, she angrily threw her phone!

Nanny walked out with a half see-through black sleeping wear on her hands while saying, “Ms. Murray, I have ironed this sleeping wear, is Mr. Ford coming? Do you want to wear it now?”

“Why would I! Find me an outdoor clothes now!” Vanessa said that before quickly running upstairs. She already rummaged through for some clothes before Nanny could… After she took the clothes out, she changed into a very casual looking clothes and wanted to leave without even wearing any jacket.

Seeing that, Nanny took a light brown jacket and ran after Vanessa.

Vanessa waved her hand instead, “No need, I'm not going to wear it, I'll just make it like I'm so worried that I forgot everything!” after saying that, Vanessa stepped on the gas pedal and quickly went to the First hospital.

In the First hospital, Edward was staring at Susan in disbelief. It was unexpectedly just a normal menstrual pain.

Edward didn't realize how worried he was, that's probably the most vigorous consultation ever in the First hospital, the cause was unexpectedly because of Susan's menstrual lain.

Of course Edward knew that menstrual pain was a lot of women's reaction during their period, but... How did he forget that he could just ask any doctor to prescribe a medicine?

Right when he was staring at Susan while pondering, Susan slowly opened her eyes.

When she saw Edward, she was stunned and after she realized where she was at, she was dumbfounded.

What happened? Why was she in the hospital?

“Honey? You brought me to the hospital?”

“Cough, cough.” Edward glanced at Susan coldly as he became cold as always.

“Yes.”

“Thank you, Honey, I'm fine.” Susan smiled to Edward and glanced at the clock on the wall, the sky was almost bright at that time...

"Did... I delay you from visiting Ms. Murray?” Susan felt sorry so she apologized.

“It's fine.” right when Susan finished talking, he already softly answered it... While they were talking, Vanessa already walked into the ward.

Vanessa seemed to be very worried, her hair was a bit messy, she didn't even wear any jacket and her shoes also seemed like she randomly wore it. “Why are you here?” Edward felt a bit sorry as he saw Vanessa's look.

“I'm worried about... Ms. White.” Vanessa smiled politely first then after saying that to Edward she quickly stepped forward and grabbed Susan's hand, “Just now I happen to hear that you're hospitalized because of your menstrual pain, right?”

Menstrual pain was a minor illness, which wouldn't need any hospitalization. That's how women basically considered it.

“I also feel that menstrual pain, it hurts so much every time." Vanessa was afraid that the previous sentence was not enough so she added another sentence.

Susan calmly took her own hand back and smiled at Vanessa, “I've really worried you, Ms. Murray... I'm fine.”

“At first, Edward said that he's coming to my place, in the end I heard that you're hospitalized, so I came over in a hurry. Sorry, I was... Very worried.” she purposely emphasized on being worried, so Edward would look at her. Seeing that she just rushed over with flat shoes without even wearing any jacket, Edward feel guilty.

However, Susan kept looking at Vanessa. Her outfit looked like she came in a hurry, but, Vanessa had natural makeup on.

Doing a natural makeup would waste a lot of time, she wouldn't be able to do such a natural and beautiful makeup in less than two hours.

Rather than saying that Vanessa was worried, it would be better to say that she was checking out her relationship with Edward.

“Thank you, Ms. Murray.” Susan smiled at Vanessa, “Even in a hurry, Ms. Murray still looks very beautiful.”
