You're The Best Medicine For Me novel Chapter 100

More than a dozen patients were waiting outside the surgical room.

Shirley and Mildred sat in the last row.

Mildred noticed that Shirley had not spoken since they sat down, she didn't show any emotion but felt like her heart was heavy.

She called worriedly. "Paisley."

Shirley raised her head and gave her an 'I'm fine' smile and nodded.

Mildred felt even worrier, "Are you in pain?"

It pained her heart seeing her injured hand. "That old man was blind, walking recklessly despite knowing this is a hospital area."

Shirley remained silent.

Mildred continued, "Let’s go to the emergency section and let the doctor treats you first."

Shirley grabbed her arm when she was about to stand up. "He was my father."

Mildred's body stiffened, she was shocked and stared at her in disbelieve.

She then sat back down on the chair but still looked at Shirley shockingly. "What… What did you say?"

Shirley blinked and nodded in silence.

She was telling Mildred with her look that the man just now was her father.

Her birth father that had never raised her.

That never concerned about her when she was sick.

That pushed her down the dead-end when she needed help.

Mildred hugged Shirley. "Cry out loud if you want to."

Shirley sighed softly, her eyes were reddened but she looked cold. "No, Shirley Thomas is dead, Paisley Thomas will never cry."

"Yes, Shirley’s tears dried up in that sea, you are my Paisley." Mildred patted her gently like how a mother patted her child.

Shirley leaned onto her shoulder with tears gushed down her cheeks.

She thought she would confront George Thomas when she met him again, asking him why gave birth to her and let her suffer, why didn't he choked her to death.

But she didn't.

When he stood in front of her, she felt like all her energies were sucked out by an unknown force.

A figure appeared in front of her while she was thinking.

Shirley looked up and met Bryan's eyes, there was an unfamiliar look in his eyes.

It looked like gentleness and love!

He asked, "Why are you sitting out here!"

Mildred raised her number and said, "There was eleven patient in front of us, Paisley didn't want to go to the emergency room."

Bryan grabbed her arms and pulled her up.

Shirley stunned, she fell into his arms when he pulled her up.

He supported the back of her head with one hand. "Why wait? You are severely injured, so think about yourself first, let’s go."
