lac knew there was something going on upon seeing the look on alpha James’s face. She knew something ust have happened to Aiden, but that was not the only thing that she managed to observe, because she also ould tell that Hunter was not completely innocent.
here was no surprise on his face, neither he was agitated because he had to wait for Aiden for hours.
Hunter indeed tried to look indifferent, but after being with this wicked alpha for months, Lilac slowly learned hat there was nothing simple with him.
He might look lovey dovey with her and teased her all the time, but now Lilac realized, he was only being like that with her, since all the people in their pack looked shocked whenever he showed that side of him.
Lilac really wanted to ask him what happened, but from where she was sitting, there was no way to have this conversation with him.
And as if he was sensing his mate’s restlessness, Hunter turned his head and looked at her with a mirth in his
eyes.
Lilac frowned, as if asking; what happened, but all of sudden alpha Gavin stood up. He looked at alpha James,
unhappy.
“How long we have to wait?! How dare he let us wait like this?!” alpha Gavin was well known with his bad temper. He hated to wait and the most impatient alpha among the other six alphas.
Seeing how thing turned out, Lilac almost could guess what would happen next and she turned her head just in time to see luna Jasmine stood up, she was fuming because her precious son was being blamed and scolded right in front of her.
“Don’t you dare to raise your voice, alpha Gavin!” luna Jasmine said sternly through her gritted teeth, Lilac could see how she balled her hands into tight fists.
Well, at the very least, it wouldn’t be boring anymore…
“Luna Jasmine! Don’t you dare to cross the line!” alpha Gavin roared, but luna Jasmine didn’t back down. “Be quiet and know your place!”

Thankfully, Hunter didn’t have the same thought and Lilac knew about that for sure.
“You must have forgotten that my son was the person who had ended the war and killed the previous alpha
lycan! You can’t put aside his merit and turned blind eyes! Because of this trivial problem, you saw him as a
villain!”
All eyes were on Hunter when luna Jasmine addressed the fact that her son had killed his father.
That certainly true, but this was not something that you could talk lightly. No matter what, the previous alpha was still alpha Hunter’s father.
However, to everyone surprised Hunter didn’t show any indication that he was upset, but then it was hard to tell if you talked about this alpha.
“Alpha James! Is this how you managed your mate?!” alpha Gavin called out alpha James, which made all the attention was distracted from Hunter.
Alpha James stood up and asked for his warrior to remove Jasmine from the main hall.

Alpha James had his own reason why he couldn’t side with his son and his mate, because at this moment, they had lost favor from the other alpha and with what Jasmine said earlier and the other alphas’ reaction, he couldn’t risk to get the situation even more out of hand if Hunter was trying to do something.
Once luna Jasmine was out of the picture, the room became quiet again, until one of the warriors of alpha Ramon came and whispered to his ear.

After the report, this time alpha Ramon stood up and announced that alpha Aiden had run away.
“He was spotted on the south part of Dtemi mountain!” he announced this loudly.

A buzz of people talking spread throughout the room and they were in disbelieve that the alpha they praised so much just a few months ago had committed such low act by running away from the law.
“What are you going to do now?” Hunter finally opened his mouth and the room quieted down immediately. His dark and sharp eyes were on alpha James. “Are you not going to do anything?”
Alpha James’s face turned red. He had guessed it that Aiden had run away when he heard that he was not in his room, but even he himself couldn’t believe what a cowardice act he had committed, neither he thought his son was capable of doing it.
“Gather all the warriors and search the whole mountain!” alpha James finally gave an order.
“Are you sure your people will not cave in and let him go?” Hunter asked again. His intention was clear. “He is still the alpha of the pack, he held the status for quite some time, do you think your warrior will really capture him?”
Alpha Ramon immediately offered his warriors. “I will deploy my warrior to help,” he said and as if on cue, the other five alphas immediately offered the same thing too.
And a few moment later, most of the people headed toward the mountain.
Hunter turned around and smiled at Lilac. “Do you want to take a walk in the mountain, love?”
