“You have expected this to happen, right?” Lilac asked in low voice, she had to tiptoe, so she could reach his ear.
Right now, she was walking on the mountain road, while the warriors had gone ahead to chase after Aiden. Lilac didn’t need to come, but Hunter asked her and the way he looked at her, she knew almost immediately that this mischievous alpha had planned something.
“Lower your voice, people can hear you,” Hunter said, whispering back to Lilac.
She looked around, but the people nearby would be out of earshot from them. “Tell me, what is your plan?” Lilac couldn’t help with her curiosity. “What is it? Why didn’t you tell me anything about this?”

“I am more annoyed than be surprised.” Lilac narrowed her eyes at him.
“You are so adorable when you are annoyed.” Hunter kissed her cheek. “I should have done it more often.”

“Sure.” Lilac was happy again, as she guided him toward the river under people’s scrutinized eyes.
They couldn’t tell why Lilac was so happy to be with the lycan when that was actually not her place to begin with. Wasn’t the lycan was so barbaric it would make you trembled once you knew them better?

“Now, tell me.” Lilac showed him the river.
The surface of it glinted under the sunlight and this place was exactly the same like the last time she was here. The gentle wind that swept her dress and cheeks and the warmth light of the sun, the smell of the grass and wet soil. It brought a lot of memories for Lilac.

Therefore, Lilac wanted to distract her mind from thinking about her childhood bestfriend and looked for her, wanting to know whether she was alright after that night. She shouldn’t have cared about him anymore.

said with a sigh. In the end, he told her about the plan between him and alpha Ramon and what would happen after this. “You don’t need to worry, alpha Ramon’s people will catch him. With him trying to escape the trial, it will put him in the worse position and the punishment will be more severe.”
Hunter took the roundabout route to take down Aiden, but he actually enjoyed this deliberate game himself.
“What did you offer to alpha Ramon in return?” Lilac asked her curiosity away.

Lilac opened her mouth, but she couldn’t even string a sentence to talk him out of it. Hunter didn’t see his action
was wrong.
Yes, lycan was a cruel creature and they were very possessive to their woman, but then… should Hunter take this too far?
