Lilac didn’t expect at all that thing would turn out like this. She didn’t even realize since when Hunter was holding a grudge toward this pack on her behalf. Of course, she was flattered for him to be angry for her, but then the implication of what he was going to do was so great.
It would change the whole pack completely and what he meant by helping alpha Ramon to claim this pack? Would there be another war?

Lilac didn’t want that to happen. The last war had left her miserable, not only her but also a lot of people. She didn’t wish for that to happen again, no matter what the reason, especially if she was the cause of it.
“Hunter, I don’t want you to do this, are you going to cause another war?” Lilac approached him, the beauty of this place was overlooked by her anxiety. She stared at Hunter’s dark eyes.
The man actually raised his hand and touched her cheek. “I will destroy everything that hurt you. Anyone, who hurt you.”
The only reason why he had not yet killed Killian was because of Lilac, but once she was no longer wanted him anymore and was sure with her decision. The man would have long gone before anyone could notice it.
Hunter was thinking the worst death ever, the humiliated one, but he couldn’t make it public, since Lilac wouldn’t be able to watch it, her heart was too kind to witness such cruelty.
Maybe his method was indeed too barbaric for her and that was what Lilac was thinking right now.
But, if you remembered, Hunter was the man, who had killed his own father, just because he always acted playful, it didn’t change that fact at all.
“Hunter, please… no more war…” She didn’t expect this from Hunter.
The narration about him was always this playful, but stern man, scary, but warm at the same time. But now, Lilac could see it clearly why people at the lycan pack feared him. There was the reason for them to fear their alpha and obey him without question and now, she was able to understand.
However, before they could talk further, they could hear the commotion in the distance.
“What is that?” Lilac instinctively looked at the direction where the loud noise came. “Is that part of your plan?”

Hunter’s face turned sour. “No.”

If there would be a commotion, it would happen not here. More so, from the sound of it, it didn’t feel right.
“What is going on?” Lilac frowned, she could see the warriors turned into beasts and from afar there was this heavy sound like hundred of bests came approaching. “Hunter? Are you sure this is not part of your plan?”

“No.” Hunter narrowed his eyes. He could already smell the scent of hundred different beasts, all of them were heading here, but from the reaction of the other warriors, it seemed, they didn’t know who were coming too. “Go back to the pack house. I will meet you there.”
Hunter mind link Gavin, the warrior that was in charge for the safety of the luna. The man came with four other warriors and they escorted Lilac out of here.
“Hunter, come with me too, I don’t feel good about this,” Lilac said hastily, she grabbed Hunter’s hand and pulled him with her. She didn’t want to leave him here.
“I will be fine, little one. I will return as soon as I learn what is happening there.” Hunter kissed her forehead. Just earlier, she reprimanded him because of his plan with alpha Ramon to take down this pack.
He thought, he had made a grief mistake for making that decision and Lilac was going to hate him for it, but who would have thought that this woman would be scared so much to leave him behind.
“Hunter, you said it yourself, this is not part of your plan, it meant there must be something wrong. Let’s go. You can’t be here.” Lilac felt like she wanted to cry, while the loud noise was getting closer, not only that, she could hear vicious roar and growl from the beast that approaching them.
“Go now, Lilac.”
Lilac shook her head, she was going to cry. It seemed, her fear was greater than her anger toward her mate.
On the other hand, Hunter couldn’t make her leave in this rate, unless he used this reason. “You are pregnant, Lilac. Do you want to hurt our baby?” Hunter hugged her and whispered to her ear.
Lilac was still in the early stage of pregnancy, thus her scent changed very subtly, aside from her own mate, no one would notice this.
“Go to the carriage now. I can protect myself.” He let her go. “Take her with the carriage.” He spoke to Gavin this time.

Lilac was torn, but Hunter was right. He was a great fighter. Whatever happened, he would be fine, right?

Leaving with no other choice, Lilac went with Gavin and the other four warriors. She didn’t shift into her beast, because it would harm her baby, thus she chose to enter the carriage as per Hunter’s instruction.
Gavin was a little bit confused why would Lilac take the carriage, since she could shift and it would be faster if she ran in her beast, but he didn’t question it, after all, the alpha had told him to do so.
Once Lilac was inside the carriage, Gavin took her away from there as soon as possible, while the other four warriors had shifted into their beasts and ran along the carriage for protection from all sides.
On the other hand, once Hunter was sure Lilac had been away, he turned around and shifted into his beast. His lycan beast looked larger than any normal werewolf, and then faster. In no time, the alpha lycan had reached the center of the commotion.
But to his surprised, the battle had started. From the look of it, they were under attack… but, wait?
Hunter didn’t immediately jump into action, where he started to fight as well, but he took his time to observe the situation.
It didn’t take long for him to understand what was going on and where he had miscalculated his plan. He cursed himself in his mind.
What agitated the alpha lycan was the fact of their attacker was the lycan! There were hundred of them charged forward to fight their way to the pack.
Was this only a coincidence, or someone pulled the string from behind?
