Chapter 498 Could Die at Any Moment

I knew it was my own sense of separation playing tricks on me.

“Madam, are you in a hurry to use it?” Odin asked, pausing before adding, “If you are in a hurry, I can notify Ms. Knight and go get it. It shouldn’t take too long.”

I hesitated for a moment, looking at him and asked, “Is it okay?”

Odin nodded, saying, “Then I’ll go over now.”

After speaking, he left with the car keys.

Stanley walked in and said to me, “We’ve received word from the police station. Ezra and his crew are indeed planning to make a deal this evening, but the location of the transaction is still unclear.”

I paused for a moment, initially wanting to ask him how the police station could have received the information so quickly, but then it dawned on me. I looked at him and said, “Do you have someone around Ezra?”

Stanley realized that his reaction had revealed some unnecessary information, and with a slight frown, he said, “Ms. Conner, I can’t say much, but once our people are discovered, they basically have no way out, so…”

“I understand, I won’t ask again,” I began, looking at him. “But it’s good, since you have people on your side, perhaps you can find his trading location faster. Last time, Ezra suffered a heavy loss. This time, he will definitely go himself.”

He nodded, saying, “The police station had the same idea, so we

needed to find their trading location as soon as possible.”

I hesitated slightly, “The people on your side, they haven’t confirmed either?”

He nodded, paused, and said, “Ezra is cautious in his actions. He probably had no intention of mentioning such a deal in advance.”

I was taken aback, “Are you saying, we can only know when they have arrived at the trading location?”

He pursed his lips, silent.

It was assumed.

I became somewhat anxious, “If so, it would be even more difficult for the police to catch them. They couldn’t set up in advance, they could only follow.”

He hummed in agreement, “This is the only way, give it your all.”

He paused for a few seconds, then looked at me and said, “However, the information you just provided might come in handy.”

I didn’t understand, staring at him blankly.

He said, “You ran away from Ezra, he probably sent people to look for you, maybe you could have approached him yourself.”

I was stunned for a moment, then after a few seconds, I said, “You mean, I can call Ezra and have you guys track Ezra’s location through the phone? Then set up in advance to follow him?”

He nodded.

I was a bit confused and said, “Didn’t you have someone by his side? They could pass messages for you.”

He frowned slightly and said, “Our people won’t contact the police unless absolutely necessary, otherwise it would put him in danger. Every interaction with the police could be fatal for him.

Comparatively, calling Ezra is the safest option for you.”

It seemed so, at least, Ezra was well aware that I couldn’t stand him. Even if he knew I was working with the police to catch him, it was within reason.

I nodded, accepting directly.
