I felt a wave of headache coming as I saw that provocative look on Caleb’s face.

To make it worse, Idris on the other side had a taunting look as if he did not take Caleb’s hostility seriously.

“Caleb, Allan, quickly wrap up so that we can finally start the cooperation.” In the end, I raised my voice and reminded them to focus on what business everyone had today.

To my relief, Calleb seemed to have adjusted his state of mind and focused once more.

“Hmmm… strange…” On the other hand, I felt Idris’s puzzled gaze landing in my direction. There was a curious yet knowing look in his eyes as his gaze darted back and forth between me and Blake.

My heart jumped in nervousness at the thought that Idris might have figured out something; however, I remained calm in my expression.

Since Blake agreed to my decision to hide the state of our relationship with everyone, I decided to put my trust in the words he gave and finally put the matter aside.

After all, our focus now is on defeating Alpha Kain and his forces.

“Let me know if you are not pleased with our gifts… I’ll make it so that you and your pack are fully appeased.” Blake, who had been observing the situation for a while, announced once more.

Knowing that his intention was to express goodwill toward the entire Red Moon Pack I waved my hand and responded, there’s no need to compensate any further. These herbs are more than enough.”

“That is good to hear.” Blake maintained his stoic face as he responded, with the two of us explicitly showing no hostility toward each other, we could feel that the mood in the hall was starting to become calm.

Amazed by the extent of his growth as Blake’s closest confidant, I looked at him and Blake and asked calmly, “What is it that you need on my side? What you offer is something of great value, I am sure that you have something you want from us as well… tell it.”

In my words, the strongest confidants on my side started to harden their faces in anxiousness. As their leader, the moment Arthur was giving his speech, my focus was already on everyone else’s reactions.

Our pack has long recovered and grown by leaps and bounds, but the shadow of the past where everyone they thought was an ally became the first ones to go after the pack the moment father died caused them to have scars that could not be healed.

“That…” Arthur was about to answer when Blake raised his hand and gestured that he would answer.

“We wanted three things from your pack. The first one is for you to work with us and deliberately reveal your whereabouts. I am sure that your spies had already informed you that the task of hunting your pack was given to our Frost Fang Pack by Alpha Kain himself.”

“Ridiculous! Are you asking us to expose ourselves?!” Caleb immediately exploded and opposed the idea.

“Hey hey hey! Watch it beta! I might have tolerated your cockiness a lot now but this time you learn to respect our alpha or else…” Idris on the other side also stood up and looked at Caleb threateningly.

“Caleb, sit down… let Alpha Sabre finish his words first.” Knowing that the tension must not disrupt the proceedings of the meeting, I raised my hand and gestured Caleb to come down.

Clearly unwilling, Caleb could only sit down with a dark face.

Blake did not seem to be affected by this matter and continued to explain things.

With Blake telling these things, our side started to think deeply and dive into the discussion.

The exchange of thought started and brought me deeply so much that I lost track of time. At one point, I felt my throat dry.

I subconsciously tried to clear my throat up only to feel a slight pain from doing so. Surprisingly, Caleb moved and gave me a glass of water.

“Are you alright? Should we take a break?” Caleb’s eyes were full of worry as he stretched out his hand and touched my back as if attempting to soothe my discomfort.

“Pfff…” Vanessa beside me who was also coincidentally drinking suddenly looked at us in an awkward manner .

Her actions made me realize that Caleb’s action was too close. As such, I subconsciously flinched thinking that Blake might react harshly toward Caleb.

“Wooh… Chloe, aren’t you living your life fully. Three of your lovers are with you in one room and look, Caleb is even taking the initiative to declare his territory against Blake and Allan…” Suddenly Vanessa teased me through a mindlink further driving my thoughts in disarray.

“What are you talking about, Vanessa? Caleb aside, why are you even putting your mate Allan with your teasing?” Exasperated, I chided her back.

“Hehehe… just because~” Vanessa replied nonchalantly as she gestured that she was having fun in teasing me.

In the end, I could only try to shake off the knowing glances around me as I nervously looked at Blake.

Contrary to my expectations, Blake seemed to be even more calm as he said,

“I think the discussion can be wrapped up for today… We can end this meeting as well… Although before we go back, I would like to request a private talk to you, Red Moon Pack Alpha.”
