From A Prisoner To A Big Short’s Inheritor ( Yves Jimmy) novel Chapter 79

Chapter 79
Leonard and Beryl found a place to sit down.
For the birthday banquet, Leonard was only interested in the medicinal materials that King Pharmacy would auction.
As a pharmaceutical company, King Pharmacy was mainly engaged in the production of medicine. It also had many skilled doctors and several hospitals.
“Mr. Santos, Paul is the Governor’s son. Is it OK for you to offend him?”
After hesitating, Beryl asked.
Beryl was worried. How could Leonard not know what she was thinking?
He smiled and said, “Don’t worry. It’s no big deal. Parker, his father, has to be respectful to me.”
Hearing Leonard’s words, Beryl was silent for a few seconds.
She didn’t believe that even though Leonard’s methods were terrific.
Who was Parker? Parker Evans was the Governor of Newden City and the high officer of the frontier. He had great power and many capable subordinates. How could he be respectful to Leonard?
When they were talking, there came a surprised female voice.
“Mr. Santos, nice to see you.”
Leonard and Beryl looked up and saw a charming woman walking over.
She was tall and well-shaped. In a black suspender dress, she had a thin white gauze coat over her shoulders and a pair of black high heels. She looked se xy and elegant.
She walked with feline grace toward Leonard with a faint smile.
“Gracia?”
Leonard was also surprised.
Unexpectedly, Gracia came to the banquet.
Celebrities from Newden City gathered at today’s banquet. Gracia, as the president of the Santos Group, must be invited.
“Gracia, do you know him well?”
At that moment, someone spoke behind Gracia.
It was Paul, the son of Parker, and Natalie, the daughter of the chairman of King Pharmacy,
Paul looked at Leonard with surprised eyes.
He was surprised that Gracia knew Leonard.
However, Natalie looked unhappy.
She was dissatisfied with Leonard’s rudeness.
“It seems that Gracia and Paul are friends.”
Leonard said in his mind.
He smiled and looked at Gracia. “Gracia, you run around during work. I will deduct your salary.”
Gracia pursed her lips and smiled. She came over and grabbed Leonard’s arm. Then, she said, “Mr. Santos, don’t deduct my salary. I have created 100-million-dollar profits for the company this month.”
The conversation between Gracia and Leonard shocked Paul and Natalie.
According to Gracia, the young man was her boss. How could the boss of the Santos Group be so young?
In that way, it was reasonable for Leonard to be
arrogant.
At a young age, he was worth billions of dollars and owned the Santos Group. His background must be extraordinary.
“Mr. Santos, I was presumptuous just now. Please don’t take it seriously.”
Natalie suddenly apologized to Leonard.
If Leonard were just an ordinary person with excellent medical skills, it would be arrogant and ignorant for Leonard to leave her alone. Leonard was the boss of the billions of dollar Group. His arrogance was justifiable.

That was why the weak were rude.
Although Natalie was arrogant and wilful, her family taught her to judge the situation better than ordinary people.
Hearing that, Paul, next to Natalie, frowned.
Leonard was the boss of the Santos Group but was nobody compared to Paul, the Governor’s son.
“The Santos Group is an emerging company in Newden City. Mr. Santos, you are young and promising.
“However, Mr. Santos, you should pay attention to your words. Although the Santos Group is worth four billion dollars, not
a small amount in Newden City, it can’t even rank among the top five hundred in Griffinland.” Paul was lofty.
“Mr. Evans, you are right. No one shouldn’t be rampant. I hope you can keep that in mind too. After all, your parents can protect you for a while but can’t protect you forever,” Leonard said peacefully.
When Paul heard that, he became gloomy.
He wanted to teach Leonard a lesson as the Governor’s son but didn’t expect Leonard to teach him instead.
Beryl was so frightened that her face turned pale, and even Gracia frowned.
Paul was a dude, but he represented the Governor’s Mansion.
“Are you telling me what to do?”
Paul’s eyes turned cold.
“Do you
think you are someone because you are the boss of the Santos Group? In front of me, you are nobody.
“Do you believe I’ll have someone throw you into the sea and let you swim back to Newden City?”
“I don’t believe it.” Leonard shook his head. “Your dad will break your legs.”
Paul clenched his fists when he heard that.
He was always domineering, even when he was abroad, not to mention when he returned home. How dare someone challenge him face to face?
“Well, I have not been in Newden City long. It seems that someone has forgotten how powerful I am.”
When Gracia heard that, she was terrified.
Paul was so bold that he could do anything.
Beryl was more worried about whether her family would be implicated.
