From A Prisoner To A Big Short’s Inheritor ( Yves Jimmy) novel Chapter 80

Chapter 80
On the other side.
Reg and the others were looking in Leonard’s direction.
When Gracia and Leonard greeted each other, talking and laughing, Reg and the others thought Leonard had a powerful background.
When they saw Paul’s ferocious appearance, they couldn’t help shaking their heads.
Jordan said with disdain, “The guy has pis sed off the Governor’s son.”
Cherry said, “Grandpa, you have also seen that. Leonard is a troublemaker. If you are close to him, you will be implicated.”
Reg sighed and walked towards Leonard.
Cherry grabbed Reg’s arm.
“Grandpa, what are you going to do?”
“Leonard saved my life. How can I just watch him offend the Governor’s son? I will mediate between the Governor’s son and Leonard, and they can turn their hostility into friendship.”
Hearing that, Cherry shook her head. “Grandpa, everyone knows the Governor’s son is arrogant and domineering. If you go to intercede, what if you offend him?”
Just as Cherry finished her words, Reg raised his hand and slapped her.
Slap.
The sound was clear, and Cherry couldn’t help but step back.
Reg scolded, “I have taught you so much. Have you forgotten that?
“No matter what kind of person Leonard is, he saved me. Can I watch him offend the Governor’s Mansion?
“If you can’t distinguish right and wrong, you don’t deserve to be my granddaughter.”
When Cherry heard Reg’s words, tears welled up in her
“Grandpa, you slapped me because of that guy.”

eyes.
Reg waved his hand angrily and was about to go forward. There was an uproar in the distance. Someone shouted, “Mr. Lambert is here.”
Waylon Lambert, accompanied by Cheryl, his secretary, strode over.
Waylon was the president of the Newden Chamber of Commerce and the most influential one in the business circle in Newden City. Most importantly, he was said to have a close relationship with the Governor’s Mansion.
Reg needed to welcome Waylon in person.
He looked at Leonard. Then, he looked at Waylon, who was coming.
After hesitating, Reg decided to meet Waylon first.
It was not late to mediate between Leonard and Paul after the banquet.
“Mr. Lambert, your presence makes my home flourish.”
Reg greeted Waylon with a hearty laugh.
The surrounding people all focused their attention on Waylon.
Seeing Reg, Waylon came over to shake hands with him.
“Mr. Dewey, happy birthday. I prepared a gift for you.”
As Waylon spoke, he handed a painting to Reg.
“Mr. Lambert, thank you very much.” Reg had someone to put the painting away.
Waylon searched the crowd. Under the astonished gaze of the crowd, he went by Reg and walked to Leonard. He said pleasantly, “Mr. Santos, you are here too.”
Many people around were puzzled and wondered who Leonard was.
Reg was also surprised.

Chapter 80
Leonard and Waylon knew each other and seemed to have a close relationship.
Jordan, Cherry, and other young people opened their eyes wider on the other side.
Paul was somewhat dumbfounded.
If the relationship between Leonard and Waylon were close, it would be tricky.
Waylon cooperated with the Governor’s Mansion on a project.
However, Paul didn’t want to let Leonard go.
When Paul felt tangled, there was another uproar.
In a suit, Parker walked in surrounded by some members of Sky Corps.
No one paid attention to Leonard and the others, and they all looked at Parker.
When Parker appeared, he was the focus of everyone present.
“Mr. Evans is here.”
Reg greeted Parker in a hurry.
Parker shook hands with Reg and said, “Mr. Dewey, happy birthday. Here is a gift for you.”
As he spoke, he waved his hand. The subordinate behind opened the gift box.
It was a piece of jewel, which was a green diamond.
When Reg saw the gift, he dared not take it.
Parker laughed.
“Mr. Dewey, don’t stand on ceremony. It was given to me by Mr. Lambert, and I will send it to you.”
After the top gemstone was cut, it was sold at a high price.
To please Parker, Waylon paid for the gemstone and gave one of them to Parker.
Parker carved the one into two pieces, one for himself and the other for Reg.
Reg knew how valuable the gift was.
It was rare. Moreover, it was big.
“Mr. Evans, I will keep this gift and your kindness in my heart.”
“Mr. Dewey, you’re welcome.”
Parker patted Reg on the shoulder.
Reg hurriedly guided Parker in.
However, Parker suddenly turned and walked to Leonard.
Reg’s heart ski pped a beat. Parker had always been domineering in Newden City. If he knew that someone had offended his son, he would be furious.
On the other side, Jordan was happy.
“Leonard is dead meat. Mr. Evans is going to stand up for his son.”
Gracia and the others were nervous.
When Paul saw Parker, he said happily, “Dad.”
However, Parker seemed to haven’t heard Paul and went to Leonard. He said politely, “Mr. Santos.”
Leonard nodded peacefully at Parker, who was powerful in Newden City.
