Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 199

S21 29. Emily’s Anger

In the blink of an eye, the comments column was flooded with messages. People asked if that was really Barbara’s design. Even Hailey submitted a request to join the broadcast. But this time, Barbara ignored her.

“How is it, Girls? Are you interested in buying this gown?”

Seeing the enthusiasm and praise from the audience, Barbara laughed faintly.

“Of course you are interested. I designed it with the concept of gleam and glamour. I chose the best materials. The making was neat and very careful.”

Barbara held her phone closer to the gown. Another hand touched the fringes so that the beads looked sparkling.

“You see these beads? My team carefully installed them one by one. I even made 69 pattern samples before choosing the most suitable

one.”

Once again, Hailey submitted a request to join. Feeling

uncomfortable, Barbara couldn’t help but accept it.

“Hey, Girl! It turns out you really work at Savior Fashion? This is very interesting.”

The blonde girl’s tone had turned friendly. She was no longer mean. Barbara was satisfied to hear that.

“Yeah, you shouldn’t accuse me of bragging. Now, you’re the one who’s embarrassed.”

Hailey snorted slightly. Her hand waved in front of her chin. “Come on, there’s no need to bring that up. What’s important now is that

you’ve shown the evidence. So, how much cost did you use to make it? Where did you get the beads?”

Barbara fell silent. She glanced at the mannequin and started

thinking. “Sorry, I can’t reveal it yet. But what’s certain is that these beads are of good quality and very expensive. You will know when they are launched.”

“What are you talking about, Auntie?” Emily pushed the door wider.” The beads are recycled material, and the concept of the dress is recycled fashion!”

Seeing her presence, Barbara gasped. “Emily? Why are you here?

You’re not at school?”

Emily stepped forward with puffed cheeks. Her hands were placed on her waist, looking ready to punch.

“What are you doing in my study?” Emily asked, sternly.

Barbara froze. Her eyes moved around, observing her niece and the broadcast that was still going on alternately. As her senses cleared, she quickly spoke to the others.

“Girls, I’m so sorry. My niece is coming to visit. We’ll catch up later. Bye.”

“Barbara, wait. Who is that little girl? She said you came into her study?”

Without replying to Hailey or the fast scrolling comments, Barbara ended the broadcast and lowered her phone.

“Why did you say that the gown was designed by you, Auntie? Do you want to steal my work?” Emily asked while stomping her feet. Barbara involuntarily flinched as if her heart had been crushed under it.

“When did I say that? You must have heard wrong.”

Emily snorted. “You have to set everything straight right now, Auntie! Tell your followers that the gown is actually my work.”

Barbara sighed awkwardly. Her eyes blinked uncontrollably. “Why are you babbling like this? Don’t look for trouble with me. I came to work.”

“But you have stolen my work! You have to admit it!” Emily’s lips. started to pout.

Barbara sighed heavier. As she didn’t want things to get more complicated, she walked towards the door. However, after just one step, Emily burst into tears. With all her strength, the little girl hit Barbara’s leg.

“You are so bad, Auntie! You have stolen my work!”

In pain, Barbara winced and backed away. “Stop it! Don’t hit me or you’ll regret it.”

However, Emily continued to attack. Barbara tried to escape without pushing Emily, but failed. She was getting overwhelmed.

“Hey, get out of the way! Don’t make my patience run out! If you fall, I’ll be the one to blame.”

However, Emily was reluctant to stop. Barbara couldn’t take it

anymore. Just when she was about to return the attack, Frank and

Kara entered.

“What are you doing? You two fight?

Emily looked back. Her crying grew louder. “Daddy, Mommy, Auntie is evil!” She ran to hug Kara.

“Why, Little Bee? What happened?”

Emily’s tiny finger was pointed at Barbara. “Auntie told her followers that the gown was her design. In fact, I designed it.”

While Kara hugged Emily, Frank glared at Barbara. “You stole my daughter’s work?”

Barbara shook her head quickly. “No. I didn’t steal anything.”

“Liar!” Louis suddenly entered with Philip. His hand was holding a phone.

“I watched Auntie’s live broadcast earlier. She was bragging about her work at Savior. She also admitted that this was her workroom and

that Emily’s dress was made by her. If Auntie still denies it, we can watch it again.”

Louis nodded while showing the video he screen-recorded. Barbara’s eyes widened at it.

“Wait a minute! What’s wrong with what I said? This is indeed my workspace. This gown was also made with my intervention.”

Frank snorted. “You still dare to claim to be my employee after neglecting your job?”

Barbara’s cheek twitched. “You didn’t fire me, right?”

“I said you should leave the company if your work was not good.”

“But, I’ve made 69 samples. That’s more than half. Besides, Emily didn’t like my taste. So, it’s fine if I didn’t make the rest. It’s no loss.

“Barbara!” Frank’s voice boomed. Everyone gasped. “You’ve caused enough trouble. You even dare to claim Emily’s hard work as your

own. That’s a crime.”

Barbara held her breath. Her clenched fists trembled violently, just like her pressed lips.
