I Love You, Miss Genius (Bonnie Shepard and Ivor Knight) novel Chapter 256

Chapter 256

Ivor noticed Floyd’s strange behavior and asked, Is there something on your mind?

Meanwhile, Jim shot Floyd a look that said, You’ll regret it if you open your big mouth.

Floyd met his imposing gaze and answered Ivor, Oh, nothing.

Ivor looked down as he fell into deep thought, but the other two could not read his expression. Then, he looked at Jim and said, I have an important mission for you.

What is it?

Bonnie just left and is headed for the Shepards. I want you to keep her safe,Ivor said while monitoring Jim’s reaction.

The latter tried to hide his concern when he heard the news. Although subtle, Ivor caught it and said, Stop waiting around. I want you to go now.

Of course.Jim nodded and left the villa.

Ivor then looked at Floyd, saying, Are you sure you’re not hiding something from me?

Floyd’s heart pounded. What do you mean, Mr. Ivor?

He tried to remain calm. Although keeping things from his boss was inappropriate, he felt better knowing Bonnie had his back. After all, Ivor would turn into a pussycat whenever Bonnie put down her foot.

Ivor stared at Floyd for a good while before finally looking away and saying, Take me to the company.

Floyd dared not sigh in relief because he did not want his boss to sense something unusual about his reaction. Hence, he only sighed internally.

Well, that was scary!

Harold lay in bed at the Shepardsvilla. He looked shriveled and pale as death as his breathing became labored. It looked like he could pass away at any moment.

Meanwhile, Yolanda expressed her frustration with Gresham, Where’s the miracle doctor you spent three million on?! Why isn’t she here yet?

Calm down, Mom. I’ll call her now.

What did you say?! Your dad can’t hold on any longer, yet you’re asking me to calm down. Are you eager for him to die so you can inherit his assets?Yolanda trembled with

rage.

Gresham was shocked. How can you say that, Mom? Do you honestly think I’d do something like that?

Grant, Gresham’s younger brother, said, Don’t talk to Mom like that. She has a point. Since you’re the family’s firstborn, it’s only natural that you’d want Dad to die so you can inherit all his assets. Then, you’ll kick Kaysen and me out of here.

That’s a load of crap!Gresham roared.
