Alva arrived at H City at 3.20 the next day. 

An hour and a half longer than expected 

She called Callahan 

“Callahan. I’m sorry. I just got off the plane after a delay of over an 

hour.” 

“That’s all right. I have an appointment at five o’clock, Margot.” 

“Ok. I’ll go to the hotel now, pack up and go to Margot.” 

“Okay, call me when you get there.”

Alva hung up and walked out of the airport, caught a taxi, and went to the hotel.
