Chapter 22
Chapter 22
Xander Hughes secret leaked by his ex-wife’
‘The popular business tycoon, Xander Hughes was not only i
married which was kept a secret, but was sterile’ Xander’s eyes blinked a few times as
he slowly scrolled through his phone, and the displeasing comments he saw made his skin crawl and his stomach grumbled ragingly.
“Xander must’ve been a horrible man. I’m sure his wife had no idea he was sterile’
I heard his family bullied her and she still stayed by his side because she loved him. Xander must really be crazy
“She should’ve left his a ss earlier, Gosh! I can’t stand men like that Slowly, he clenched his fingers tightly around his phone as he scrolled through the post on the internet and the terrible comments that did nothing but bash him.
He dropped his phone on the desk and ran his fingers through his hair frustratingly. He should’ve controlled his emotions when he saw them. He shouldn’t have acted recklessly, and who knows, maybe this would never have happened.
The office telephone started to ring, but he hesitated before he picked it up and held it to his ear.
“Sir, Mr. Hughes is here to see
e you,” Xander’s eyes went close when he heard that from his secretary. Of course, he knew what was going to happen now that his Dad had come to his office, but he couldn’t also refuse to see the man.
“Hmm… Send him in,” The call disconnected almost immediately, and he dropped the phone back on the desk.
Xander sat behind his desk, waiting to welcome his Dad and get the nagging of his life. Something he was sure he wouldn’t be able to escape.
The door finally opened, and Mr. Hughes walked inside.
“What is the meaning of the nonsense I’m seeing on the internet, Xander? What is going on?” The man who had a striking resemblance with Xander, snarled impatiently as soon as he walked inside the office.
“Dad… You are here… You should…”
“I asked you to go represent me at the dinner party, and the only thing you went to do was disgrace yourself and our family?” The man slammed his hands angrily on the desk, and Xander closed his eyes and took a deep breath,
“Can you calm down and let’s talk about…”
“We have
nothing to talk about…” He paused and huffed.
“When did that bi tch come back? Where the hell did she come from?” He asked between gritted teeth.
“Dad… You can’t address Summer in that manner. Can you please…
“I am going to address her anyhow I like it, and that’s it. Don’t tell me you still have feelings for her even after what happened. Hmph! Are you kidding me?” He huffed as he couldn’t hold himself anymore.
“Dad, I’m trying to figure out something here. Can we talk about this later, please?” Xander tried to avoid the conversation, hoping it would work on his Dad.
“I don’t care how you are going to
this, but I want that cr ap taken down from the internet immediately. We still have a lot of things ahead to do, and I don’t want this to mess everything up,” He said coldly before he left Xander’s office.

Chapter 22
“Holy sh it!” Xander breathed out as he reclined on the chair and closed his eyes.
He reached for his phone and scrolled through it for a low seconds, then dialed a number and held it to his ear.
“Nick on the line, Sir,” Came Nick’s voice from the other end.
“I give you twenty-four hours for the post to be taken down. Work on it immediately,” He instructed,
“Yes, Sir. I will do that.”
Xander ended the call and dropped his phone on the desk.
Even though he didn’t want to think about her, he couldn’t just help himself as it was difficult not to. He couldn’t do without thinking about her every da mn time, and it was messing with his head.
“He’s not even handsome,” He mumbled and rolled his eyes as he sat up
pon the chair and scoffed.
The sound of his ringing phone pulled him back to reality, and he quickly swiped the answer button when he saw that it was the doctor.
“Henry,” He spoke on the phone as soon as he answered the call
“Hey, man,” Came Henry’s voice from the other end.
“is the test result ready now? When should I come for it?” He asked impatiently.
“Hmm… It’s ready. We might need to see in person,” Xander’s eyebrows furrowed and confusion crawled up his face.
“Why?”
“You should come over to the hospital when you are free. I got to go, man. I need to attend to some patients,” The call ended, and he dropped his phone on the desk.
Many thoughts lingered on his mind as he stared into space. What could’ve happened? Could it be that he was really sterile? Was something else diagnosed? He kept asking himself as he gave himself away to curiosity.
Curious to find out what was happening. Xander stood up, grabbed his car keys and phone from the desk, and walked out of his office.
“Sir, you asked me to prepa
prepare your schedule,” His secretary, a young man in his late twenties uttered as soon as he sighted Xander.
I
“Submit it on my desk, and if I don’t come back early, forward it to my email later. I need to attend to something urgently,” He stated and walked out of
the office.
Xander took the stairs to the down floor and when he got to the parking lot, he hopped inside his car and drove off.
The ride to the hospital didn’t take much time before he arrived, and as soon as he pulled over at the parking lot, he alighted and headed straight to the doctor’s office.
“Come in,” The doctor’s voice sounded from inside the office after Xander knocked on the door minutes later. He pushed the door open and walked inside.
“Where is the result?” Xander asked impatiently as he sat on the empty chair in front
of the man.
“Why didn’t you tell me about it, Xander?” Henry asked disappointedly as he looked at him.
“We have been friends for years. Why didn’t you tell me about it? Why didn’t you tell me you were married? Is that how much I mean to you?” Henry

further asked.
“I will explain to you later. Can I get the result, please?” He asked impatiently.
Henry stared at him for seconds then reached for the brown file in the cabinet of his desk, and handed it to Xander who tore it open immediately, anxious
to know what was inside.
“You are not sterile There is no history of it. This must be the mistake of the hospital you went to for the test. You were never sterile,” Xander’s jaw dropped to the ground and he froze on the spot…
