Lost in Mr. Preston's Temptation novel Chapter 99

When Clara looked up to ask him, Ethan clearly saw her eyebrows raised, with a smile and a hint of cunning in her eyes.

Ethan knew that she did it on purpose.

He knew that Clara had been studying abroad for several years, but he didn’t know that Clara and Delores knew each other.

Looking at Clara’s expression, she probably knew of Delores before she arrived.

Ethan looked at Delores in front of him. He saw that she was biting her lip slightly, her face had turned pale, and her brows wrinkled imperceptibly.

“Husband?” Seeing that he had not spoken for a long time, Clara’s red lips twitched slightly, “Why aren’t you talking?”

“Call her whatever you want. The Preston’s rules aren’t that strict,” Ethan said calmly. He pulled his arm out of Clara hands and began to pat her on her back.

“Go and say hello to grandma.”

The corner of Clara’s mouth curled up in ridicule. Following the man’s line of sight, she saw a powerful elderly lady walking towards them.

Grandma Preston wore a black Asian dress and a water-colored jade bracelet on her wrist. Her majestic aura didn’t let anyone ignore her existence.

The corners of her eyes showed her years, but there was a hint of gentleness in her sharp eyes.

She was beautiful when she was young. Her age had only increased her majesty and left her beauty untouched.

“Eh? Grandma?” As soon as she saw Grandma Preston clearly, she quickly recognized that she was the elderly lady who had been troubled by the salesclerk!

No wonder Baxter’s expression was so strange then, it turned out that he had recognized her!

The old matriarch smiled and nodded. After coming over, she stood in front of Clara.

“I didn’t let Baxter tell you that day because I didn’t want to bother you. I planned to wait for you and Ethan to come to the house before getting to know you. I didn’t expect it to get pushed off so late. You don’t blame me, do you?”

“How could I?” Clara stepped forward and took the elderly lady’s arm, her tone was well-behaved and docile. “Thank you, grandma for not abandoning me. It is my blessing to be your granddaughter-in-law.”

She waved her hand and asked the servant to bring the pot of Dendrobium.

Clara said, “Grandma, this is the first time I’ve come to see you. I don’t know what gift I could bring, but I heard you like Dendrobium Orchid, so I brought you a pot over on the way.”

“Yes, this Dendrobium Orchid is very good.” She nodded her head with satisfaction and glanced at Clara from the corner of her eye.

She was satisfied with these flowers and even more satisfied with this person.

“Then please keep it. When I find a better Dendrobium Orchid, then I will send it to you.” Clara smiled lightly and helped the elderly lady go to the living room.

“Okay, don’t go back on your word.”

“As long as grandma doesn’t dislike me coming over to nag you.” Clara rested his head on the elderly lady’s shoulder, like a granddaughter pouting with her grandmother.

“Grandma, you wear this dress so beautifully. If I had known, I would have bought you more that day.”

The smile on the elderly lady’s face deepened, as if in a good mood, “Really?”

“Of course, I always speak the truth. If you go out with me now, others will think we are mother and daughter!”

“Haha.”
