Love in Twilight novel (Clarissa and Damien) novel Chapter 149

Chapter 149 Did Clarissa Think That She Could Stop Him by Locking That Door?

Clarissa didn’t come out for dinner, nor did she open her bedroom door for Damien

She was afraid Damien might notice her unusual behavior and prod further. For someone as sharp as Damien, it wouldn’t be hard for him to spot the reason behind her breakdown tonight

If Damien found out she was sad because of Joseph, she wouldn’t know what he would do to Joseph.

If she were to guess, Damien would demand Joseph to kneel down and beg for forgiveness

At this moment, Damien knocked on the door. “Clarissa, I’ll be heading home if you won’t answer the door.”

She responded, “Okay.”

Hearing her curt reply, Damien could feel his dignity being trampled upon as he smiled awkwardly at

Theresa

“I’ll be taking my leave for now.” Damien was a man with pride and power. Never in a million years would he bow down for a woman.

So, he took his keys and left.

Afterward, Theresa knocked on her door and asked if she was okay.

Clarissa didn’t explain much, “I’m fine. You should head to bed early.”

Feeling helpless, Theresa left. Before that, she gave her a piece of advice. “Make sure you make it up to Damien tomorrow. It’s rude of you to treat him like that.”

“Okay,” Clarissa said.

Subconsciously, she reached for her phone, tightening her grip around it as she tried to calm down.

It wouldn’t be a good move to send a message to Joseph now.

However, she still couldn’t act like she didn’t know anything.

Damien returned to the villa.

When Grandpa saw him, he asked, “Aren’t you supposed to stay at Clarissa’s for a few days? Why are you back home today? How’s Theresa?”
