“Why are you still here? Didn‘t you return to the Hill Villa already?” Clarissa asked.

“The taps are busted. I don‘t know the maintenance office‘s number since I‘ve never lived in this place before,” he replied.

Clarissa nodded after a split second. “Oh… Are you still leaving tonight?”

She spent a long time chatting with Lily earlier that day. After that, Leah had driven Lily back, so it was already four in the afternoon.

“Do you want me to leave?” Damien asked.

Soon, she heard sounds of metallic clanging coming from the bathroom. Then, she heard Damien turning on the tap and washing his hands.

All of a sudden, Clarissa felt that sounds like those added color into her life. She loved listening to them.

“Aren‘t you going to eat?” Damien exited the bathroom and turned around to ask Clarissa, who was spacing out in the bedroom.

He was still wearing a black shirt, which made him look stoic and handsome to the point that people didn‘t dare to look him in the eye.

“I ate too much during lunch, so I‘m not hungry,” Clarissa replied.

“At least have a glass of milk. Come out.”

Since Clarissa had nothing to do in the bedroom, she decided to join Damien at the dining table.

“Go heat up a glass of milk for her. Prepare a salad while you‘re at it.” Damien issued an order to Mrs. Faber.
