Loveless Marriage novel Chapter 174

After washing up, Isabella lied on bed in her pyjamas, reading a storybook with Rachel.

Seeing the little girl fall asleep with her breathing evenly, she carefully lifted the blanket and got off the bed.

She then took her phone and lightly walked to the balcony.

Turning on her cell phone, she hesitated before dialling a number.

It took a long while before the call connected. "Oh... Isabella... " It was a hoarse male voice.

Isabella instantly sensed that something was amiss with him, "Christian... What's wrong with you?"

Didn't he go to see his mother?

Her heart suddenly sank as she asked anxiously, "What happened to your mother? Where are you now? "

"Ugh... I, I just came back... Scenery Bay."

Christian's voice was hoarse and low, which didn't have much strength.

Scenery Bay?

Aren't they at the same place?

Isabella raised her head and looked at the residential area under the night sky. The light from the lamp scattered around her bit by bit, making the air a little chilly.

Did something really happen?

The suspicion in her heart also made her more and more worried. Isabella didn't ask too much and hung up the call. She then quickly put on a coat and quietly went out.

She then rushed to his apartment.

Fortunately, the two apartments were not far from each other. She tightly wrapped her coat around her and climbed into the elevator.

She was really worried all the way here. However, once she stepped out of the elevator and stood at the door, she suddenly hesitated. The impulse in her heart was suddenly overtaken by reason.

Why she came back now?

After the divorce, she had never returned to this place.

With cotton slippers, a white cotton nightgown, and a long black coat draped over her shoulders, her fair ankles and half of her feet were exposed, as well as her long hair, which she hadn't combed in time.

She lowered her head and looked at her current appearance in a daze. She stood there for a long time without moving, and mixed feelings surged in her heart.

But soon, she recalled Christian's voice just now, and quickly knocked on the door.

After coming back to her senses, she clenched her fists even more tightly and no longer had any misgivings as she knocked on the door a few more times.

She waited anxiously and nervously for a while before she heard some sound coming from inside.

The door opened instantly.

Their eyes met.

Christian's pupils shrank extremely quickly. Before Isabella could react, he suddenly reached out and pulled her in. With a turn of his body, he pressed her head against the wall and kissed down.

"Ugh... "

Isabella opened her eyes wide, her mind in a complete blank.

Alcohol?

The strong smell of the alcohol entered her nose and mouth, making her enter a trance-like state.

Wasn't his mother sick? Why did he drink so much?

As she endured his kiss, she pondered the question in her mind.

They kissed more and more passionately. Christian seemed to strangle her body to piece.

The lights in the living room weren't on. She frowned and let out a whimper from her throat.

The nervousness in Isabella's heart was tinged with a little bit of fear.

But Christian kept kissing her. He even began to move to the bedroom.

Just as Isabella was kissed crazily, her inner desire was suddenly awakened. So she stopped struggling and let him do what he wanted.

She even wanted to obey the desire. The moment she lay on bed, she put her arms around his neck and kissed him back.

Suddenly, Isabella's phone rang, which killed the vibe. The vibrations made her feel both excited and a little panicked.

She immediately came back to her senses. Then she let out a stuffy groan and stretched out her hand to push him away. "Hmm...Christian...Christian!"

B*stard!

Why did he have so much strength?

How much did he drink?

She still had to make things clear.

When Christian's hand started to unbutton at her pyjamas, Isabella's heart almost jumped out of her throat as she frantically tried to grab his large palm.

"No, No, Christian..."

"..."

Ten minutes later, in the bright and spacious living room, the man sitting on the sofa tilted his head with an ice pack on his forehead. His handsome face darkened, and his eyes were fixed on the woman walking around the room.

Isabella peeled off the eggs that had just been cooked, wrapped them, and walked over. She had already calmed herself down, only feeling a little guilty when he looked at her.

She was unable to push him away just now, and in a moment of desperation, she kicked him away, but he had slammed to the bedside table.

It was her fault, as his handsome face had been knocked red and swollen.

Christian threw away the ice pack, glanced at her, and said lightly, "You did."

"..."

Isabella had no choice but to sit beside him, and then lightly twisted and turned the egg on his forehead, muttering unhappily: "Isn't it all your fault? You should have told me earlier if you're not drunk. Your strength is as strong as an ox, and I could only kick you."

Fortunately her mother called her just now. Otherwise, she would be so regretful now.

Christian also knew he was wrong, so he just kept looking at her without saying anything.

He indeed drank some wine, but he wasn't drunk. He wanted to call her when he got home, but he hadn't expected her to call him first. The moment he opened the door and saw her, an impulse emerged from his heart.

Isabella's heart skipped a beat and she avoided his gaze and said anxiously: "Don't look at me like that. You still haven't told me why you drank so much, didn't you go and see your mother?"

"You rolled the egg to my eye." Christian spoke with a faint smile.

Isabella was startled, she looked down at the egg that was almost in front of his eyes, and awkwardly placed it back down and started rubbing it.

"My mom isn't sick. She intentionally tricked me to go to the hotel." He explained.

Isabella paused for a while, then asked, "She knew that you were with me back then?"

"No, she didn't."

"Oh, okay."

The man turned to look at her. He was wearing a loose shirt with a few buttons undone on the front, showing a small chest that was a bit lazy and sexy
