Loveless Marriage novel Chapter 175

"What are you doing?"

Probably because she kept thing about what had happened previously, Isabella felt a little uncomfortable the moment he got close to her.

Christian wrapped his arms around her and his usual calm and collected appearance had completely disappeared now. Perhaps it was because he had drunk some alcohol, he was like a coquettish cat as he rubbed around her body, drunk and lazy.

Feeling her heart was warmed by his action, she obediently sat there without moving.

"It's dinner with the Perez's family."

A muffled sound came from the man buried in her neck, making it hard to tell his emotion.

Isabella's face darkened when she heard his words, but she quickly teased, "Dinner with the Perez's family. Lexie and your mother should be there as well. You two will definitely get engaged."

It seemed like Mallory couldn't wait to get Lexie as her daughter-in-law.

Christian didn't raise his head and instead hugged her tightly. He was so tired that he placed half of his body on her shoulders. "Carl is my father's friend for over ten years, so I have to save his face, and my mother's as well."

Hearing this, Isabella didn't say a word.

After a while, a low voice came out from the room, "Isabella, if I agree, what will you do?"

The empty apartment had finally regained some warmth after she left for so many days.

Isabella smiled and taunted: "Of course I'll congratulate you. Miss Perez is young and beautiful, and she hasn't married before. So she is way better than me."

Hearing this, Christian's arm tightened.

Isabella was in so much pain that she took a deep breath and frowned.

"Well, I didn't agree." Christian said.

The taunting expression on Isabella's face stiffened as she patted his back and said: "What exactly do you want to say? If there's nothing else, I'll go back now."

He didn't agree. Was it because of her?

Isabella didn't dare to think of this, but she couldn't help it.

She then pushed him away, a little irritated. "Alright, I see that you're fine. It's already midnight, so I'll go back now."

Why did he become so childish after drinking some wine? He even needed her to coax him.

Before she could get up, Christian tightly hugged her waist and muttered to her, "Isabella, I've already showed my attitude clearly to them. and I've also admitted to my mother that these two children are mine."

"..."

Isabella was surprised. She then smiled: "Your mother believes it?"

"It doesn't matter. I don't need anyone to believe it." Christian's voice was a little hoarse. There were some things that he couldn't speak out loud, but he still hoped that she could understand.

Isabella quietened down and looked down at him. She couldn't help but reach out to stroke his hair, and as her fingers moved about, she smiled softly, "Do you really fall in love with me?"

Christian let go of her hand and turned to pinch her lower jaw. His dark and burning eyes seemed to have some sort of enchantment tonight as he stared into her eyes, "Is it too late?"

"..."

Once again, a wave of turbulence was stirred up in her heart as Isabella's breathing sped up. However, she still looked at him and smiled calmly, "If I said it is too late, will you given up?"

As soon as she finished her words, he held her chin and kissed her.

But he soon let her go. Gently pinching her cheek, he smiled and said: "I've thought about it tonight and felt that the children should grow up with their own parents. Don't you think so?"

Isabella, "..."

Why hadn't she noticed that this man was so good at flirting after drinking?

What if Lexie came over tonight?

She wondered if they would be making love by now.

Suddenly, as if she thought of something, she lowered her gaze and smiled, "You've even met her parents now. Will Miss Perez get back to her original position tomorrow?"

Christian's face darkened, his eyes slowly filled with a layer of chill: "Am I that selfish in your eyes?"

"Mhmm." Isabella unrestrainedly nodded, "This is not the first time you've done something like this."

Christian pursed his lips, his expression returning to normal as he asked, "Aren't you curious why I kicked her out?"

"You're the boss, so you can kick out whoever you want? But Lexie is indeed not a good girl. Let your mother be more careful. If she really wants to find you a wife, my suggestion is that you should change one." She suddenly laughed as she said that, as if she were talking about something extremely insignificant.

She was truly thinking for his sake. After all, they had broken up peacefully and had not brought any lawsuits.

Lexie really didn't suit him.

Looking at her calm and unperturbed expression, Christian suppressed his anger and said with a darkened face: "If I said that she wanted to make love with me when I was drunk, yet you still don't mind?"

"..."

Isabella blinked her eyes, her gaze was a little strange, but she quickly understood what he really meant.

Seemed that Lexie had really done something which made him so angry.

"Did she really do that? " She asked deliberately.

Christian, "..."

He suddenly had the urge to strangle her.

Bitting his lips in frustration, he suddenly stood up and walked to the bathroom, his slender back exuding a sense of hostility.

Isabella looked at him absentmindedly.

Thinking about what had happened to her last night, what else could make him get so angry? Drug? Or drunken chaos...? "

This was the first time she had seen him so drunk, perhaps it was just because she hadn't seen him many times before.

If she was indeed drugged...was there any chance of failure? If they couldn't go to the hospital, then they could only...

Thinking about those scenes, Isabella's beautiful face suddenly turned pale, and her expression slowly became ugly.

Feeling a little agitated, Christian just went to take a shower. But who would know that only after a few minutes when he came out, Isabella had already left. His handsome face instantly darkened.

...

Isabella returned home with a heavy heart. The lights in the living room had already been turned off, and the room was completely dark.

She didn't turn on the light. She returned to her room absentmindedly and lay back down on the bed. She was lost in thought for a while.

After a long while, she finally turned out the light and closed her eyes.

The next morning, Christian went straight to Isabella's home.

But Diana told him that Isabella had brought Rachel to the company earlier this morning.

This put him in a bad mood.

Her gloomy mood even influenced Lexie. She had just regained her self-confidence last night, but felt a sense of failure today once again.
