Loveless Marriage novel Chapter 178

She suddenly remembered something. Then she waved her hand at Minh: "Leave them here first. It might not be enough for all of us to eat together. Let's go to the canteen and get some more."

Minh immediately shook his head, "How can we do that? You have been really tired recently and you need some nutrition. We can go to the canteen. You and Rachel just stay here."

"Nutrition is also not something that can be put up, and I can't finish that much even if I die. It would be a waste later on."

She waved to the others, "Hurry, go and get some food. I'll be waiting here for you."

A girl teased, "That won't do. If Mr. Miller finds out, then we won't be able to bear the consequences, right?"

Isabella, "..."

She held her forehead, feeling a little awkward, and also a little helpless. "Then how about... I call him now and let him know? "

If not for so many people here, she would have really called and blame him.

"Hee hee... Alright!"

Everyone immediately looked at her with gossiping expressions.

"…"

In the end, a group of people managed to finished the two big bags of food.

After the meal, it was time for lunch break.

Isabella placed Rachel on the sofa who had fallen asleep and then called Christian.

"Hi." She lowered her voice and looked across the window, though it was not very clear.

"Do you like the food?" His voice was soft and pleasant.

Isabella raised her eyebrows and said, "It's not enough."

Could he have ordered the food just because her mother said she had a bad appetite?

Feeling that she had guessed right, she curled her lips to express her disdain. He now really knew how to flirt women.

Christian instantly understood what she meant and laughed in a low voice, "Alright, I'll order more tomorrow, or you can go to the restaurant as well. Your subordinates should want to see me."

"…"

The veins on Isabella's forehead throbbed.

She clenched her teeth slightly and said, "Christian, do you really have to let everyone know? Do you know how much trouble it will bring me? "

But Christian said: "All I care about right now is your health. When you have time to look after someone else's child, why not think about your own condition? It has already been four months. Even if you aren't afraid, I still have to worry about it at any time. I won't allow the slightest bit of accident."

Isabella opened her mouth, but could not say a word.

She always knew what she was up against him, but she just didn't want to give in.

She closed her eyes and lightly pressed her temples, her voice softer. "I'll eat in the canteen in the future, and you don't have to order food for me. Besides, you even ordered lunch from the Clouds Restaurant. Are you just afraid that others won't know it was from you?"

Even Mr. Smith didn't dare to have lunch in the Clouds every day.

She had thought that he would admit his mistakes or at least explain something, but he simply replied with a faint "Ah, I will pay attention to it next time", as if it was nothing important.

"…"

What the hell? She didn't believe a word of him now.

Looking up, she caught sight of the sleeping Rachel, and she asked: "Oh, about the expert friend you mentioned before, can you give me his contact details?"

"Didn't I tell you let Mr. Allen come to me if he agrees about this matter?"

Isabella frowned, "Is there any difference?"

Christian's tone was very calm. "Well you don't have to tell him about it. I can see that you're quite happy to take care of his daughter."

Isabella, "..."

Why did he seem to be a little jealous?

"I'm hanging up." Isabella said.

"Okay."

Then without hesitation, she called Luke.

After persuading him for a while, Luke agreed. She didn't know what he talked with Christian, the next morning he directly went to pick up Rachel.

Isabella looked at Rachel with slight reluctance, "Luke, I'm sorry. I really tried but it seemed not work."

Although she was reluctant, she still had to consider for Rachel.

Luke was wearing a simple suit, gentle and handsome, his smile as warm as always, "I should be the one who apologise. I've caused you too much trouble these past few days. It wasn't an easy thing to do, and we can't be impatient."

"You're right." Isabella nodded, then asked: "Then, do you plan to see the doctor now?"

"Yes, I have already made an appointment with him." He then bent over to pick up the child with a faint smile, "However, the doctor is abroad, so I'm going to take a few days leave."

"Abroad?" Isabella was a little surprised.

Christian hadn't mentioned it to her at all.

Luke nodded, gently stroking Rachel's head and smiled: "I'll have to try no matter what, also to show my gratitude to Mr. Miller."

Isabella's expression slightly changed, and quickly revealed a bright smile, saying softly, "You don't need to worry too much about him."

Luke's calm gaze landed on her small face.

He was suddenly a little jealous of that man.

He clearly understood that his feelings for her. From the initial calmness and liking to the passion and impulsiveness, it had undergone a fundamental difference and had long since exceeded his control. However, it was only he who changed. She may have never fallen for him.

But he didn't say anything, just looking at her quietly.

Isabella was not sensitive, but she could still feel his gaze. Since her confession last time, she felt relieved, but she still didn't know his feeling now. It was just that every time she stayed with him, she always felt this constant attention. She felt guilty.

She owed him a lot, and always wanted to help out in some way. But other than Rachel, there was probably nothing that she couldn't do.

It was unknown when Christian showed up, who said indifferently: "Aren't you going to catch a flight, Mr. Allen?"

Isabella subconsciously took a step back, looking at him: "Why are you here?"

Christian did not look at her. He walked into her apartment and said, "I have something to talk to Mr. Allen. Get prepared. I'll send you to the company later."

"…"

Isabella instinctively wanted to reject him, but stopped at the second thought. She didn't want to argue with him in front of others

Glancing at him, she turned and went back into the bedroom.
