Married by Accident Taming the Billionaire (Cecilia) novel Chapter 393

Chapter 393 These Are the Best Evidence
Cecelia turned around slowly. Spencer, lying on the hospital bed, raised his trembling hand. His eyes are full of tears.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry for them..."
Spencer finally shed tears of repentance. Over the years, the condemnation of his conscience had made him restless day and night.
Whenever he dreamt in the middle of the night, he would always remember the things he had done against his conscience. After being an accomplice, he couldn't live a peaceful life anymore.
Now, he didn't want to continue to hide it. And he didn't want to implicate his family.
Cecelia returned to Spencer and listened to the inside story. In the end, Spencer beckoned his son and said, "Go take Miss Linsey and find the black box in the safe. Give it to her!"
Spencer's son obeyed his father and took Cecelia and Remington back to the Lowell family. Eventually, he got the black box his father was talking about.
On the way back, Cecelia opened the box and saw that it contained several copies of the Songo family's change of ownership papers.
Among them was the agreement for the transfer of the Songo Mansion. The old mansion was transferred from Edmond's name to Jackson's.
There was also a change of shareholding agreement for the Songo Group and a waiver of inheritance agreement that Cassie was forced to sign.
Also included was a change of relationship letter between Jackson and Edmond. The original was to certify that Jackson was Edmond's adopted son and that there was no blood between the two of them. After the change, Jackson became Edmond's biological son and was entitled to inherit from the Songo family.
After reading these documents, Cecelia made up her mind to take revenge.
These documents were important for her to take back the Songo Group and the Songo family's estate.
Cecelia had a feeling of tightness in her chest. "Great! These are the best evidence to prove that Jackson stole the Songo Group! Even if these are copies, at least, it will confirm what happened back then."
"You didn't waste your time."
Remington felt that Spencer couldn't have voluntarily handed over the evidence without Cecelia's wisdom and verbal tricks.
"Hmm. Are we going to see Zoila next?" asked Cecelia.
"Yep. Kevin asked around. Zoila lives in a farmhouse not far from here."
Then they set off together to the farmhouse. They found a house with the surname Flores, and Cecelia knocked on the door and asked, "Is Mrs Flores there, please?"
Soon, a middle-aged woman came out of the house. She opened the door and saw several strangers. Then, puzzled, she asked, "What do you want with me? I don't seem to know you!"
"We are here for your daughter Rosa."
"There is nothing to say about my daughter..."
The moment Zoila heard Cecelia mention her daughter, the look on her face immediately changed, and she was about to close the door.
But Cecelia was one step ahead of her and reached out to block it. "Mrs. Flores, we are trying to help your daughter get justice! Don't you want justice for your daughter? Can you stand by and watch her suffer?"
Zoila was convinced, but she remained wary in her mind. "Who the hell are you people? Are you journalists? If you are, I have nothing to say! You guys get out of here!"
"We're not journalists! I'm Cassie's granddaughter. You should know who Cassie is, right?"
The moment Zoila heard Cecelia say who she was, she got an extremely shocked look on her face. "You are Cassie's granddaughter? Are you a Songo?"
Cecelia nodded and took out her jade pendant. "This is the jade pendant my grandmother gave me. I am the heir of the Songo Dyehouse. Do you believe me?"
Zoila had to believe her. After all, she had nothing to be deceived now.
"I didn't think... I really didn't think... Miss Linsey, come in and talk!"
Zoila changed her attitude. Then, she politely invited them in to talk.
Cecelia and Zoila talk a lot about the Songo family. She learnt that Zoila used to work for the Songo family for many years and resigned from the Songo family last year. She also learnt about Zoila's family situation.
"Mrs. Flores, I won't beat around the bush. You have been working hard at the Songo family, but you suddenly resigned last year. Did you quit because of what happened to your daughter?
"It was the Songo family's eldest son who raped Rosa. The Songo family was afraid you'd make a big deal out of it, so they gave you a little money as compensation. And they threatened you, so you all didn't dare to report to the police, right?
"Actually, we investigated it all. We came here to help you guys with this matter!"
Cecelia tried to dispel her concerns. Then, Zoila nodded her head in a difficult and rather sceptical manner. "It's been a year. Can you help us deal with it? How?"
"It's been over a year, but I can find a way to help you get justice. At the very least, you will get the compensation you deserve. We will bring those who broke the law to justice!"
When Zoila heard Cecelia say this, she suddenly knelt down in front of Cecelia and said tearfully, "Miss Linsey, if you can help my daughter get justice, I will work for you for the rest of my life."
"Mrs. Flores, get up and speak!"
Cecelia helped Zoila to her feet and listened to Zolia continue to speak.
"You don't know that people have been gossiping about it since that happened to my daughter. They all laugh at her for trying to seduce a rich young heir and marry into a rich family.
"She's been tortured for a year. She has attempted suicide several times. As her mother, I am very agitated to see her like this. I don't know what to do anymore."
Zoila had no husband and only one daughter. However, since her daughter became like this, she had lost hope in life.
"You can tell me how much money the Songo family paid you as compensation. Did they force you to sign a certain agreement?"
"They didn't make me sign any agreement. They only gave 10,000 dollars as hush money. I have only one daughter. We depend on each other. We don't even dare to fight against the Songo family..."
Zoila had been threatened by them. As a housewife, she didn't dare to say anything, so she had no choice but to resign herself to her fate.
"Is it okay if you let me go meet Rosa? I'll talk to her!"
"Okay. Alright. Alright. I'll kowtow to you if you can help me get my daughter enlightened. Thank you."
Zoila introduced Cecelia to the withdrawn Rosa, who was afraid to go out and spent her time embroidering in her room.
When Zoila brought Cecelia in and introduced Cecelia to Rosa, Rosa resisted at first, but she was finally moved by Cecelia.
"You're still young. Even if you fall down once, what are you afraid of? As long as you are brave enough to get up! As a woman, we'll come across many difficulties in life. Even if the public holds prejudice against us, it's important that we don't belittle ourselves."
After Rosa listened to Cecelia's heartfelt words, her defenses completely collapsed. She cried into tears.
"You should think about your future. Think about your shining points. Look, you're really good at embroidery. Can I hire you to embroider when the Songo Dyehouse is back in business?"
"Really? You want me to embroider at the Songo Dyehouse?"
Rosa was persuaded by her words. It ignited a glimmer of hope for life.
"Of course it's true. The Songo Dyehouse is in my hands. And I'm deciding on its future, so I need someone like you. What happened to you in the past has long become history.
"If you have a grudge in your heart, I can help you get revenge and justice! As long as you say yes!"
Cecelia waited for Rosa to make a decision.
