My Quick-witted Baby (Arabella and Kenneth) novel Chapter 285

Chapter 285

The mirror shattered, and his hand got several long cuts. When blood gushed out, he turned around and went out.

...

Kenneth didn't leave but stayed in the president's office. He sat on the black leather chair and began to smoke. The smoke hung in the air and blurred his handsome face with a deep frown. When the scarlet ash fell, it was full of gloom.

Suddenly, there was a shout from the lounge.

Kenneth was startled, quickly threw the cigarette between his fingers into the ashtray, strode over with his long legs, and pushed open the door, asking, "What's wrong?"

Arabella had stopped crying, but her eyes and nose were still red, and tears were still hanging on her slender eyelashes. After fixing her clothes, she jumped off the sink. But her limbs were numb because she had not moved for a long time. Therefore, she almost fell when her feet landed on the ground.

Raising her eyes to glance at the man at the door, she asked in a muffled voice, "Why didn't you leave?"

Kenneth had not expected her to be willing to talk to him because he thought she hated him now.

He hoarsely replied, "You are here, so I don't want or dare to leave. I feel more at ease to guard here because I am afraid you will leave me forever if I leave now."

Hearing this, Arabella snorted. Suddenly, she had a blackout. When her thin body fell toward the carpet, Kenneth widened his eyes in shock, stretched out his long arms to pull her into his arms, and shouted, "Arabella, are you OK?"

When she opened her eyes, she saw his handsome face close at hand. Now, his eyes were full of nervousness, worry, and deep self-blame.
