The Contract Lover (Nina Morrison and Lucien Gray) novel Chapter 171

Nina is trying to persuade herself when the alarm clock at the head of the bed rings, and it's 8 o'clock! There's a regular meeting this morning! Her speech is not ready yet!

Nina rushes to the bathroom to take a bath.

Hitting the road to the company, Nina sits on the work station with a feeling that her waist is very sore and it is about to break.

Suddenly, the charming scene of last night flashes in her mind. Nina's face turns red. Then she quickly comes back to her senses and goes to read the materials.

The regular meeting is not unsmooth. Several stuttered places are supplemented by Raymond's thoughtful tips. Nina smiles gratefully at him.

In return, Raymond nods and smiles lightly. Nina's heart gives a sudden leap again. Raymond's smile is similar to Troy's. How could she not find out it before?

As soon as she gets back to the work station, the phone on the desk rings.

Nina picks up the phone, and Sunny's voice comes from the microphone, "Nina, why do you turn off your mobile phone? I've been calling all morning and your cell phone was always off. I thought something was wrong with you!"

"Ah, Sunny, my mobile phone is broken, and I haven't come to buy a new one. What's up?"

"Nina, I'm going to try on my wedding dress today. And I will pass by your company. Would you like to have lunch together?"

"Well, yes. But I only have one hour at noon. We can only have a simple meal." Nina says with a hint of regret.

"It's OK. Peter Johnson forces me to eat crazily every day. I've gained a lot of weight now. Simple meals just can help me control my weight." Sunny's complaints are full of sweetness.

After hanging up, Nina is about to work when the front desk phone comes in again.

"Nina, someone is waiting for you at the front desk."

Someone waiting for her? Who? She has only Sunny as a friend in this city.

Is it her sister? Nina has not heard from Grace for several years.

Putting down the work at hand and arriving at the front desk, Nina is surprised to find that it is Lucien'secretary who comes to her company.

Nina is very nervous and hurriedly pulls Linda to the reception room, "Linda, what can I do for you?"

Linda smilingly hands her a beautifully packed paper box, "Miss Morrison, this is Mr. Gray's order. Let me take it to you."

"No, no, I don't want it..." Nina quickly shrinks her hand behind her as if she is scalded by this box.

Linda smiles meaningfully, "Miss Morrison, you haven't even opened it for a look, how can you refuse?"

"Don't open it. I won't accept it no matter what it is." Nina stands up, with a gesture of seeing Linda off right now.

Linda shoves the paper box into Nina's hands, "Miss Morrison, this is what Mr. Gray ordered. He repeatedly stressed I have to hand it over to you. You'd better take it, or I won't be able to report on his mission. You know Mr. Gray's temper. It's hard to find a job now..."

Linda says and observes Nina's expression, with a flash of light passing through her eyes.

Hearing what Linda says, Nina is embarrassed. She is still in trouble, but Linda has twisted her curvaceous waist and left.

Nina takes the paper box to hide in the bathroom and opens it in a state of upset.

A white diamond inlaid mobile phone appears in front of her. It is a little like the iPhone, but the body is pure gold, and the screen is also full of the unique dark and soft light of the gem.

It looks like the legendary Ninin mobile phone.

Although Lucien really should pay for her a mobile phone, she can't afford this luxurious one!

Nina takes a look and puts the mobile phone back into the paper box and packs it as it was.

In Lucien's office, Linda is calling, "Mr. Gray, the mobile phone has been delivered, and Miss Morrison has accepted it."

"Well done! I'll raise your salary by 20% from next month." Lucien says that and hangs up.

Putting down the phone, Linda makes a "V" sign to the window! Lucien is really generous. She just sends a mobile phone and her salary unexpectedly gets a 20% raise!
