Reclaiming the CEO's Heart novel Chapter 104

Chapter 104 Avery Didn't Bother to Talk Nonsense With Her

Layla thought Avery's question was ridiculous, so she asked, "Do you think he is your son?"

"If you were his mother, you wouldn't have been so indifferent. He has an allergy and fell, but you didn't protect or comfort him. Instead, you falsely accused me. Don't you have the sting of conscience?"

Layla retorted, "Don't think you can make Jacob change his mind by slandering me. I gave birth to Ethan in front of him. So, he knows Ethan is my son."

Avery didn't bother to talk nonsense with her. It was proved that Layla was unsuitable to be a mother.

After Ethan's nanny came over with water, Avery unbuttoned his shirt and used a towel to wipe him. It must be unbearably itchy, so he should have been crying and fussing. But unexpectedly, he quieted down, intently stared at her with his big black eyes, and tightly held her clothes with one hand. He seemed afraid of nothing when she was by his side.

"Stop! What are you doing to my son?"

Layla disagreed with the cold compress.

Avery coldly glanced at her and said, "Cold compress can constrict blood vessels and reduce the itching. He is uncomfortable. If he scratches, the allergic area will expand. And it may cause a high fever."

Layla wanted to refute her words, but Jacob coldly snapped, "Shut up."

Avery had never heard him speak to Layla like this during the past two years. Layla felt so aggrieved that she soon started to make trouble again.

"I have always been careful with Ethan's diet. How could he have an allergy for no reason? What did he eat?"

A maid replied, "He ate half a piece of the honey cake baked by Miss Adams."
