Reclaiming the CEO's Heart novel Chapter 105

Chapter 105 Be Nicer to Ethan

He suppressed his violence and anger. If he gave one more look at Layla, he would snap her neck off. After all, she would have hurt Avery if he had come a little later.

Layla had only jealously fought for his favor in the past, so he had turned a blind eye. He had not expected the small fight between women to become such a thing. He looked at the wound on Avery's forehead and said, "Go to treat the wound. Leave Ethan to Gail."

Gail was Ethan's nanny. Seeing the rash under control, Avery breathed a sigh of relief and left the rest to her.

But Ethan instantly said, "Mom!"

Seeing her leaving, he panicked and stopped being well-behaved.

Avery was heartbroken to hear him crying, so she returned to hug him. Then, Ethan stopped crying and obediently snuggled into her arms.

When Jacob brought cotton swabs over, Avery subconsciously avoided his touch. But he coldly ordered, "Don't move."

The villa was full of Layla's people, and he was the only person she could trust. So, she stayed still.

He knew she feared pain, so he gently dealt with the wound. Avery endured the pain without making a sound. She used to be a delicate girl, but his emotional abuse in the past two years had gradually forced her into what she was now. She did not laugh, complain, or even cry in pain.

When he looked at her hair, he saw some egg liquid residue. So, the anger surged from his heart and spread to his internal organs. Then, every cell in his body was full of rage. When distracted, he inadvertently put forth more strength and poked the wound hard with a cotton swab.

Avery was caught off guard and gasped in pain.

He hurriedly asked, "Did I hurt you?"

He raised her chin with his fingers and softly said, "I'll be gentler."

His voice sounded intimate, so she looked away and said, "It doesn't hurt."
