Reclaiming the CEO's Heart novel Chapter 120

Chapter 120 She's Only 21

"Shut up!" Jacob snapped.

"Jacob, I'm the only perfect match for you. Avery is just after your money. She can be with anyone for money," said Layla.

Jacob disregarded her and walked away.

Layla was pissed off and walked in the other director with a glass of red wine and whispered something in Sarah's ear.

Sarah used to talk sh*t but never actually doing anything nasty, so she looked a bit nervous. "D-Do we really have to do this?"

Layla laughed. "Sarah, I've always trusted you and believed you can make great achievements. If you can handle this sh*t for me, I promise your family will play an important role in Love Layla Hospital."

"Don't worry, Layla. I won't let you down," Sarah responded.

Layla smiled, feeling satisfied. Money talked, and bullshit walked. That was reality.

"Avery, you have nothing left now. Let me see how you're gonna fight against me!" thought Layla to herself.

Avery and Jack sat together for a while. Jack, being a considerate dude, said, "The show hasn't started yet. The buffet on this cruise ship is dope. Avery, would you like to grab some grub together? There's a lot of stuff I haven't told you about Whiskers."

Avery checked the time and found it was indeed still early. There couldn't be a formal dinner at this point.

"Sure," she responded.

Then, Jack and Avery headed to the buffet restaurant, and Jacob couldn't take his eyes off Avery.

"Avy, how dare you!" Jacob yelled inwardly.

He already regretted letting Avery out. He knew as long as she was around, all eyes would be on her.

Jacob scoffed. "Find out where the f*ck that dude came from."

"Yes, Mr. Hill."

Melodious violin music was sounding in the restaurant, and there were thousands of kinds of food from different countries. Jack went to the dessert section and hooked Avery up with some mousses. "Avery, I remember you used to like cakes the best."

"You got a good memory, but as I've gotten older, I can't handle these sweet things anymore," Avery replied.

"Avery, are you kidding me? You're just 21, in the prime of your life," Jack exclaimed.

Back in the day, Avery skipped a few grades and graduated way before her peers.
