Chapter 121 Sweet Pretty Boys

Jack didn't know how to respond to her. It was clear as day that she was making arrangements for the cat's funeral, but when he saw the emptiness in her eyes, it made him feel like she was preparing for her own demise.

"Got it, Avery," Jack responded.

"Remember to bury her under the biggest tree in the garden. Every winter, it's covered in blooming plum blossoms with snow. It smells so good, yo. I'll wait for her there," whispered Avery.

Nobody would think that she would wait for the cat there as a dead person.

"Alright, Avery. When you're free, you can swing by and visit her," said Jack.

Avery reached out and took off her diamond earrings, handing them over to Jack. "I came out in a hurry today, so I didn't bring many things with me. Can you please give this pair of earrings to Whiskers? She's liked shiny little toys since she was a baby cat."

"Alright. Avery, if you don't want to come to my place, you can just send me the address. I can visit you with Whiskers. Trust me! She'd be darn happy to see you."

"No, thanks!" Avery didn't have much time left.

When Jacob followed them, he happened to see Jack holding onto Avery's hand and dragging her to the deck. Jack and Avery stood side by side on the deck, both dressed in white, with snowflakes twirling around them, which created a really beautiful scene.

It reminded Jacob of a few years back when Avery casually messed with his hair. "Why do you always rock this kind of bossy president's hairstyle? It's so boring. Sometimes, you may just let it loose and make yourself look a bit younger."

Jacob suddenly asked, "Am I getting old?"

John glanced at the energetic and youthful Jack. "Mr. Hill, you're just mature. You have the temperament those boys don't possess."

"But she dislikes me for being old," Jacob sighed.

John tried to hold back his laughter and thought, "Man! Mr. Hill is starting to show signs of being a resentful woman recently."

"Mr. Hill, you're thinking too much. You're only twenty-seven, in your prime. Mrs. Hill likes a mature man like you instead of those young and inexperienced boys. You're the type that attracts young ladies the most."

Right when John finished his sentences, two young girls walked past them with giddy excitement. "I finally asked my dad to get me two XO's concert tickets. Let's go together in a few days. Man! I really love Archer. He's such a sweet, pretty boy."
