Chapter 184 Echoes of the Past

Frank agreed to Avery's request without hesitation.

Carl and Randy spent half the day reminiscing with Avery. "Avy, after you left, Frank also left the island. He must have come to Astire. If you need his help, you can contact him privately."

"Do you know his background?" Avery found Frank to be very mysterious. He was a man with so much ammunition, and she still didn't know what Frank looked like to this day.

The information Andrew dug up was certainly limited, but Frank was different; perhaps he had special channels to uncover more.

Moreover, Frank's identity was mysterious enough that the mastermind behind the scenes was unaware of his existence.

"Frank drifted onto our island a few years ago. When he arrived, he was barely alive, saved by Lois. It seems he had no family and just settled down on our island. But I think Frank must be a formidable person; his marksmanship is very accurate."

Remembering this, Carl scratched his head sheepishly. "Avy, I was too nervous that day. I almost shot you by accident. But your ex-husband treated you quite well, as his reflex was to protect you."

The boy, brave and outspoken, didn't hold back praise where it was due despite his dislike.

Avery didn't want to dwell on this topic, patting his head. "You've been given a special opportunity; you must study hard to stand out in the future and make Lois proud."

"I know, Avy."

Before starting her new job, Avery took the two kids to a renowned local art exhibition, which was Randy's first close encounter with such artworks.

He was greatly impressed, not even knowing where to look first.

Carl, unable to understand such emotion, shrugged. "They are all bookworms, and he looks like a painting-worm. What's so good about these boring paintings? To the point of being unable to move?"

Avery laughed lightly. "If you don't like paintings, of course, you can't understand this subtle feeling."

With them, Avery temporarily forgot her vengeance, as if she returned to the carefree days on the island.

Seeing Randy standing in front of a painting for a long time, she approached. "What are you looking at so intently?"
