Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 31

Nichole was taken aback. Why was Sophie here?

Soon, the commotion at the door alerted the invigilator inside. The invigilator barked angrily, "Which department do all of you belong to? This is an examination room, do you know that? Everyone, stay away from the exam hall."

The students around scurried off, but Krystal, still hopeful, clung to Nichole and said to the invigilator, "Sir, we are juniors, and we're also preparing for postgraduate studies, so we wanted to take a look at this year’s exam paper to study it."

The invigilator's expression softened a bit at the sight of Nichole. After all, Nichole was a student sponsored by James, so the invigilator handed over the exam paper to her quite readily.

When Nichole saw the questions on the exam paper, she looked troubled.

"It's a pity, Harold isn’t here." Krystal lowered her head in disappointment, and then glanced at Nichole. Noticing her frowning, Krystal couldn’t help but ask, "Is everything okay?"

Nichole shook her head, "The questions this year are really tough. I’m not sure I can score well."

But precisely because of this, Sophie definitely wouldn't pass.

Nichole felt somewhat relieved, thankful that James had advised her not to sit for the exam this year. It turned out he already knew the questions were going to be difficult this year.

Thinking of James’ favoritism towards her, Nichole felt a secret thrill.

Meanwhile, inside the exam hall, Sophie was writing with concentration, and a good amount of time had already passed when suddenly, there was a loud noise from outside.

‘Bang—!’

The exam hall door burst open as two bodyguards dragged in a man with fiery red hair. The man was forcibly seated and couldn’t move at all.

Sophie thought the man looked quite familiar. If she remembered correctly, this was Harold, the second son of the Aldridge family.
