Chapter 214
“Tam her fiancé,” he announced loudly, as if afraid that they would not hear it.
Everyone present was stunned, except for Lana, who clenched her lists in resentment.
“What’s going on? Jay angrily asked Xavier and Yvette, who were standing at the back. “Didn’t you say that Larissa was single? Where did her fiance come from?”
Xavier was also completely unaware of this matter. He silently turned his gaze to Yvette, wailing for her to explain.
Yvette was on the verge of bursting out in anger. She was well aware of Kevan’s existence because she had set up the whole plan with Lana. The main purpose was to separate Larissa and Kevan before they could get married.
She and Lana had made thorough preparations. Even if their plan was exposed by Larissa, they would still force her to marry Reuben. However, their meticulous plans did not consider the possibility of Kevan personally showing up at their place.
“There may have been some misunderstanding in between.” Yvette sald, forcing herself to smile as she made up an excuse. “Larissa has been staying in Covenford and doesn’t like to tell us anything. Since she hadn’t brought a boyfriend back to meet us, so I thought she was still single…”
She pushed all the blame onto Larissa, but Larissa refused to shoulder the blame.
“Lana knows all about me and Kevan.” Larissa’s gaze landed on Lana.
Being singled out, Lana had no choice but to raise her head and face the music.
“I…..” She couldn’t come up with an excuse.
Earlier in the living room, she had schemed and planned to make her marry Reuben. She couldn’t pretend that she was completely unaware of Yvette’s plan. So, she could only use tears to gain everyone’s sympathy.

“I was too selfish… I only saw the difficulties the company is facing now and the help the marriage between the two familles could bring to the company. I didn’t consider my sister’s wishes… I thought that after she leamed about our parents’ difficulties, she would agree…”
Lana’s words sounded like an admission of her own mistake, but upon closer examination, she was implying that Larissa was an ungrateful person. The company was in dire straits and needed to sell her off to survive, but she disregarded the well-being of her family for the sake of love. If Larissa had previously thought that Lana might be innocent, all possibility of that had been ruled out.
“Yes, you are indeed very selfish,” Larissa said, staring at her disappointedly. “You knew that the company was facing difficulties and that the marriage could save the company. Yet, although you’re still single, you pushed me to do this.”
Having been called out by her, Lana glanced at Kevan to gauge his reaction. However, his expression was stolic and his eyes never left Larissa. That filled Lana with jealousy.
Suddenly, she recalled that she still had a card up her sleeve.
“But you tried to seduce Reuben, didn’t you? Everyone saw you and him on the bed together!” She even had a recording on her phone. If Larissa didn’t admit it, she would release the video and humiliate her.
Larissa hadn’t expected Lana to bring that up. She was a little afraid of Kevan finding out about her and Reuben, but Kevan seemed much calmer than she had expected him to be. Although she sighed in reliet, she fell a little sad too-did his lack of anger mean that he didn’t Care?
