Chapter 291
At 8.30pm. Kevan’s two uncles hid farewell and left conscientiously.
After seeing of the quests. Anthony said to Kevar, “Come with me to the study. There was a forbidding tone to his voice,
Violet took Larissa upstairs. She opened a door and said, “This is Kewan’s room.”
The room’s decor and style were completely different from Kevan’s house in Covenlord. The overall color scheme leaned towards warm inviting colors, matching the style of this house. It was obviously Kevan’s parents’ handwerk.
“He moved cut when he went to university. After that, he rarely came back.” Aint of sadness appeared on Viclel’s lace. “You also know how much of a clean freak he is. He wouldn’t let anyone touch anything in this room. I’m in charge of cleaning his room alter he llew the coop.”
Looking affectionately at Larissa, she continued, ‘Living with him must be tough, right?”
Larissa smiled. “It’s not too bad.”
They didn’t live in the same room, so she rarely touched his personal belongings. Besides, Kryan had hired help to come in and clean the house every day, so there was no conflict in that regard.
“That’s good to hear.” Violet breathed a sigh of relet. I always worry that his OCD will prevent him from getting mamed?
Larissa maintained a tight-lipped smile and expressed no opinion on Kevan’s habits.
Violet brought Larissa on a tour of Kevan’s room. Every corner was marked with traces of his childhood. Each time she picked up an itam. Violet would tel. Larissa the stories behind them in great detal
“These are the certificates Kevan received in elementary school. He has always been a good student and ranked list in his class every year. We never had to worry about his academics.”
“When Kevan was in junior high, he suddenly became obsessed with assembling model kits. He stayed up all night and assembled tons of these models. I thought we had too many of them at home, so I wanted to give some away to his younger cousins. We ended up having a big argument.”
*Kevan has many hobbies, especially in sports. He’s wel trained in martial arts, wrestling, and boxing.”
“Oh, and this photo album Violet stood on her tiptoes and took a photo album from the top shell of Kevan’s bookcase.
She called cut to Larissa excitedly. “Come and take a look!
Both of them stood side by side in front of the bookcase.
Apart from Kevan’s bed, there was only one chair in his room and nothing else to sit on. Furthermore, he hated other people sitting on his bed.
Violet opened the photo album.
The first page had a photo of Kevan when he was just born. He was so tiny, with a wrinkled lace, His handsome features were nowhere to be seen
The next page showed him at a month old, then al three months old
All the photos were arranged in chronological order
As Violet flipped through the pages, Larissa witnessed Kevan’s growth throughout his childhood.
The last few photos were from five years ago as dates were displayed at the bollom right comer.
They were all group photos of Kevan and his three cousins. In one of them, Ruby was present as well.
She stood between Kevan and Cody, with Cody’s arm around her shoulder,
Blushing shyly. Ruby was smiling happily in the photo. On the other hand, Kevan stared at the camera expressionlessly. It was obvious that he was anything but cheerful.
When Violet noticed Larissa staring at this particuar photo, she was reminded of the recent dispute over strawberries.
“Lari don’t overthink ill” she explained on Kevan’s behall, “Kevan and Ruby are just friends. They were close friends back then, but they gradually grew apart after Ruby manied Cody. Kevan might seem like an unfeeling person, but once he thinks of someone as a friend, he will treat that person wholeheartedly. That’s how he is with Ruby. Today’s situation happened because Ruby is a guest, so Kevan gave her the strawberries first.”
“I understand.” Larissa held Violet’s arm and reassured her, “Mom, please don’t worry. I’m not that petty.”
