Upon hearing Marion’s words, Miley became slightly stressed. “You aren’t planning to leave any room for reconciliation, are you?”

Marion chuckled. “No, It’s just that I can hardly stomach the nonsense she’s spouting. Having her publicly apologize should be sufficient.”

Just a glance at Althea, and Marlon felt a sense of foreboding.

Instead, she decided to focus on how to comfort Lucas.

That was even more difficult than a confrontation.

Marion sighed, not bothering with self-reflection any longer. She had other matters to attend to, like soothing Lucas.

Marion let go and stood up to remove her makeup, washed her face, and changed out of her elegant dress into comfortable cotton pants and a short-sleeved T-shirt. Afterward, holding the box of mango -flavored candies in her hand, she went to knock on Lucas’s door.
