Chapter 101 Too Lenient

Lysander explained, “It’s true that I wanted to buy a house, but it’s not what you’re thinking…”

“All right, no need to defend yourself any further, I understand. Look, the moment you felt pain, your husband was so worried. It’s clear that your relationship is still strong,” said the staff..

Lysander was taken aback.

Josiah simply responded, “Mhm.”

Lysander was confused.

With courtesy. Josiah nodded at the staff. “I apologize for the trouble I’ve caused today.”

“No worries, it’s no trouble at all. I deal with divorces every day, witnessing couples fight over assets and children until the cows come home. It’s actually quite refreshing to encounter a loving pair like you

After serving the water, the staff member was about to leave. With a smile, he gave a friendly pat on Josiah’s shoulder. “Handsome man, I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.”

With a smile, Josiah expressed his thanks.

Turning around, he found himself meeting Lysander’s inquisitive gaze. “What’s wrong?”

Only after hanging up the phone, Josiah quickly stood up. “Lysander, something urgent has come up that I need to handle. I’ll have someone take you home.”

“So, we’re not processing the paperwork today?” asked Lysander.

“Next time.” Josiah held his phone and made a call, sharing his location. After hanging up, he turned to her and said, “Wait here for a bit, about ten minutes. Someone will come to pick you up. Your leg is injured, so don’t try to walk on your own.”

It seemed as though Josiah could see right through her thoughts. He said solemnly, “I’ve already fired. him, and Ms. Collins has been rehired.”

Lysander was somewhat taken aback. “Lysanne didn’t make a fuss?”
