The Charming Ex-Wife (Lysander and Josiah) novel Chapter 108

Chapter 108 Only She Can Sit In The Passenger Seat

“This is about saving a child’s life!”

In a fit of urgency, Josiah’s tone came off rather harsh He was aware of it, but he didn’t intend to apologize.

He furrowed his brows and glared at Harry, his gaze icy. “Why is she still sitting on the ground? Quickly, carry her out and take my car to the hospital”

“Josiah…”

“Josiah!” Lysanne exclaimed angrily, giving him a tug. “That’s someone else’s wife. Why are you in such a rush?”

Josiah gave her a cold glance. “Because my child was also lost at such a young age. I don’t want to witness another child turn into a mere pile of flesh and blood right before my eyes.”

Lysanne turned pale. “That’s her husband’s business. Why are you meddling? Let’s go.”

Josiah remained still.

Lysanne, heavily pregnant, struggled to pull him along. Frustrated, she stomped her foot and exclaimed, “So you won’t leave, is that it? Fine, I’ll go!”

Watching the two argue, Harry was too frightened to speak. As he watched Lysander’s retreating figure, he anxiously said, “Mr. Guerra, I’m truly sorry. It’s my fault that you had a fight with Mrs. Guerra. Maybe I can help you bring her back? I can apologize to her on your behalf…”

“You owe an apology, but it shouldn’t be to her. It should be to your wife.” Josiah said coldly, “What are you waiting for? Hurry up and carry her! The car is already waiting outside!”

“Huh?” Harry was reluctant. “But we still have to give a toast later. Many of those who came today are my business partners. We can’t neglect them…”

“Harry Molsey!” Lysander couldn’t hold back any longer. “What matters more to you? The lives of your wife and child or your pride?”

Harry didn’t dare to provoke Josiah and turned to berate her instead. He pointed at her nose with an imposing aura and said, “Who do you think you are? You’ve got no right to speak here! Get lost! Hurry up and leave! Ah!”

A harsh cry of agony echoed. Harry’s arm was twisted in a peculiar way.

Lysander could almost hear the chilling sound of a bone being dislocated.

She looked at Josiah, somewhat taken aback.

He forcefully pushed Harry away, dusting off his hands with a look of disgust. In a cold voice, he said, “Don’t worry about him. Lysander, what should I do now to avoid hurting her?”

Avoid putting pressure on her lower abdomen.”

Josiah gave a slight nod, crouching down as he apologized, “Ms. Ziegler, excuse me.”

He carefully lifted Priscilla in his arms, striding swiftly toward the outside.

Upon seeing the situation, Lysander quickly cooperated with him to pick up Priscilla’s wedding dress train from the ground. Holding it in their hands, the two of them hurriedly made their way out of the hotel lobby.

Carol was already waiting in the car at the entrance. When she saw Lysander, she was slightly taken aback but politely greeted, “Mrs. Guerra.”

Lysander opened the car door, assisting Josiah in placing Priscilla in the back seat.

Josiah settled into the driver’s seat, starting the car. Seeing Lysander still hesitating, he urged, “Get in.”

Lysander gritted her teeth. The back seat was already filled with Priscilla’s wedding dress, making it impossible for anyone to sit. The only space left was in the passenger seat.

“Hurry, get in the car!” Josiah urged her.

The moment Lysander’s hand touched the door handle, Lysanne unexpectedly followed suit, pulling her aside and slamming the car door shut. “Dr. Thorne,” she said, “only the lady of the house can sit in the passenger seat. Surely you understand that basic principle?”
