The Charming Ex-Wife (Lysander and Josiah) novel Chapter 15

Chapter 15 I’ve Decided, Divorce

There was a stalemate.

A long stalemate.

Lysander and Lysanne stood on a side each, with Josiah in the middle.

Lysander sneered. How absurd is this situation?

It felt like she competed with another woman for the same man, just like the most cliche plot in dramas.

“Hey! Isn’t this Josiah?!”

The newcomer was an elderly lady in a wheelchair, with a middle-aged woman pushing her from behind. It seemed like they recognized Josiah and approached to greet him.

Josiah called out, “Old Mrs. Wallace, Mrs. Wallace.”

Before he could finish. anne had already walked over and held Old Mrs. Wallace’s hand. “Hello, Old Mrs. Wallace. It’s been a few years. You look several years younger!”

“Haha! Lysander, you’re still as charming as when you were a child.”

iddle-aged woman behind her chuckled softly. “Mom, you’re recognizing people now. A while

Old Mrs. Wallace immediately said, “Isn’t this Josiah’s wife? How can I not recognize her? Back then, Josiah followed her daily, helped her carry her school bag, and bought snacks for her like a little follower…”

Mrs. Wallace suddenly felt embarrassed and pointed to Lysander in the distance before saying. “Mom, you’re mistaken. That girl is Josiah’s wife.”

Old Mrs. Wallace suddenly became serious. “You’ve got it wrong. This is Josiah’s wife! Right, Josiah?”

Who is that? I don’t even know her.

Josiah’s face darkened, his brows furrowed deeply, and he took a deep breath, wanting to explain.

“Josiah!” Lysanne suddenly pulled his hand as if intentionally trying to divert his attention back to

it started raining heavily.

herself. “Do you remember? Once, you rode a bike to carry me, and suddenly

We took shelter under Old Mrs. Wallace’s roof.”

“Yes. Yes.” Old Mrs. Wallace immediately nodded. “I remember, too. Josiah held up his school uniform high above your head to shield you from the rain and got himselfly soaked. I thought at that moment that Josiah was really something. He knew how to take care of his wife.”

Mrs. Wallace looked at Lysander with some guilt, and she stomped her foot in frustration. “Mom, please stop…

She quickly explained to Lysander. “Don’t be angry. My mom is getting old and a bit senile. She’s just

talking nonsense.”

Lysanne smiled warmly. “It’s not nonsense, Mrs. Wallace. You weren’t home at the time, so you might not have seen it. That day, only Old Mrs. Wallace was at home, and she even gave us an umbrella.”

Mrs. Wallace was initially surprised and seemed a bit puzzled as to why Lysanne suddenly said that, but she didn’t argue further. She just looked at Lysander with a face full of guilt.

Lysander advised gently, “It’s okay, Mrs. Wallace. I understand.”

Beside them. Old Mrs. Wallace held Lysanne’s hand tightly, and her actions overflowed with affection. “Oh! Look at that belly. It’s so big now. Back then, these two were just kids, and now they’re both going to have children. Time really does fly…

“Mom!” Mrs. Wallace furrowed her brows and quickly pushed the wheelchair away. “We need to hurry the hospital. We shouldn’t delay them any longer. They’re all so busy. Um. Josiah, Lysanne, and… Josiah’s wife, we’ll leave now. Come over to our house when you have time.”

Mrs. Wallace didn’t even know what Lysander’s name was, so she could only use “Josiah’s wife as a substitute and hurriedly pushed Old Mrs. Wallace away.

Lysander, on the other hand, waved goodbye politely. “Goodbye, Old Mrs. Wallace. Goodbye, Mrs.

Wallace.”

Lysander stared at Josiah for a moment, their directly opened the back door of the car, got in, and slammed it shut.

Daphne was correct in pointing out that Josiah and Lysanne had been entangled for over twenty years. while she had only known Josiah for a few years. How could she compare?

By taking a step back, she was clearly stating her position-she had left the front passenger seat for them to figure out.

Josiah wanted to say something, but Lysanne quickly got into the car, closed the door, and urged Josia “Josiah, let’s go quickly. We might still make it to the hotel for lunch. I love the seafood there. It’s my favorite. If we’re late, it might be all gone.”

Josiah stood still while resisting silently.

However, Lysanne said, “Dr. Thorne has agreed. Why are you hesitating? Hurry up.”

Josiah got into the car and glanced back at Lysander as if wanting to say something. Lysander turned her head to the side and looked out the window.

Finally, he sighed and started the car engine slowly.

Daphne sent her a WhatsApp message, ‘Have you departed?”

Lysander replied, I have made my decision.

Daphine sent several question marks,

The resort was as luxurious and expensive as Daphne had described.

A regular suite would cost over three thousand for one night, while a luxury suite would cost over ten thousand.

Josiah told the receptionist, “Two luxury suites.”

The receptionist nodded. “All right. Please wait.”

Lysanne asked in confusion. “Why do we need two rooms?”

Josiah said, “One for me and Lysander, and one for you alone.”

She crossed her arms, and there was a playful look in her eyes. “You have really changed a lot. In the past, you insisted on having a room to yourself no matter what and even kicked me out.

“Back then we were already in high school and there were gender differences. Wouldn’t sharing a room ruin your reputation?”

She pouted and said to the receptionist, “We’ll need three luxury suites then. One for each of us.”

Josiah frowned. “Lysander and I are married. There’s no issue with us sharing a room.”

Lysanne looked disdainful. “What? Are you trying to save a little money? You’re too stingy.”

“How does this have anything to do with saving money?”
