On the way home, Zachary kept his head down and chuckled foolishly.
Lysander was leisurely eating her potato, occasionally glancing back at him. She noticed that Zachary was also sneakily watching her. The moment their eyes met, his face visibly started to turn red, and then he began to rub it hard.
“Why are you rubbing your face?” Lysander asked.
Zachary laughed sheepishly. “It’s windy. My face is a bit cold.”

“It’s really cold.” He emphasized.

Zachary’s face turned even redder.
He took two steps forward, catching up with Lysander.
“Lysander, why are you walking home? Actually, I came by car.”
Lysander turned her head and asked, “Don’t you want to spend more time with me?”
“Of course I want to! I’m just afraid you’re tired after a long day at work.”
“It’s okay. After a day’s work, I want to take a walk and rest a bit.”
“Right, then why don’t I take a walk with you after you get off work in the future? I can walk you well.”
“Your office is not close to the hospital. Are you going to walk all the way here?”
“I’ll drive over, park the car in the hospital’s parking lot, and then walk you home.”
“After walking me home, don’t you have to return to the company’s dormitory?”

Zachary said very casually, “I’ll come back for the car after seeing you safely home.”

Afraid that she would refuse, Zachary said, “A few of them will bring their girlfriends over. You girls can chat together or take a tour around the campus. If you really don’t want to go, I can cancel it. Wherever you want to go, I’ll go with you.”

I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
