Chapter 215 Meeting Adrian Again
Lysander was surprised. “Who’s the groom?”
“It’s Niel from the anesthesiology department! You didn’t know? They started dating back in college. It’s been five or six years now.”
Lysander really didn’t know,
She didn’t know much about her colleagues‘ relationship status, other than knowing that Lynn was single without a boyfriend. She wouldn’t ask about the rest, and they wouldn’t tell her either.
“Dr. Thorne, will you go with me?”
Lysander thought for a moment, then sent a message to Zachary, asking him how his interview went.
Zachary replied quickly: Just got out. It feels pretty good. But I might not be able to pick you up today. There’s some unfinished work at the architectural design company, and my boss needs it urgently.
Lysander replied: Work is important. You do your thing.
Lynn leaned in and asked her, “Who is it?”
Lysander put away her phone. “Lynn, I have a question for you.”
“Ask away.”
“Linda and Dr. Niel are getting married, so how much money should everyone give as a wedding gift?”
Lynn slapped her forehead. “Oh dear, I’ve been so absorbed in writing my thesis these past I’ve completely forgotten about it. Let me ask around…
After work in the evening, Linda came over and knocked on the door with a beaming smile.
“Dr. Thorne, Lynn, are you done with your work?”
Lynn nodded repeatedly. “Yeah, we’re done. Are we leaving now?”

When they left the hospital, the ride Linda had arranged was already waiting at the hospital entrance.
Upon reaching the destination, Lysander, however, froze.
Lynn asked, “What’s wrong, Dr. Thorne?”
Their party came in six cars in total. Linda and Niel drove their own car, four cars were rented, and one even trailed directly behind Linda and Niel’s car into the parking lot.
She hadn’t seen Adrian in a while.

I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
