Josiah returned to the old house after finishing work in the evening. 

The maid opened the door and greeted him, “Mr. Guerra, you’re back.”

“It’s okay. You go o about your business. Eleanor has already bought me medicine, and I’ve taken it. I’m much better now.” Susan assured him with a faint smile before resuming her reading. 

Josiah asked. “What medicine did Eleanor buy for you? Let me take a look.” 

Susan replied, “Do you know anything about medicine?” 

Josiah admitted, “Not really.” 

Susan dismissed. “If you don’t understand, what’s the use of checking?” 

Josiah could see that his mother was upset. He mused. Mom has aged a lot recently. She even experienced headaches, which are probably related to the recent situation of my marriage. 

Josiah felt a heaviness in his heart. He then approached and offered, “Mom, let me give you a massage.” 

“Mm,” Susan acknowledged softly. 

Standing behind his mother, Josiah gently massaged her temples with his fingertips. He asked, “How do you feel, Mom? Does it feel better?” 

Susan closed her eyes and replied weakly, “How could it not be good? You learned massage techniques from an experienced therapist.”
