The Charming Ex-Wife (Lysander and Josiah) novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95 She Simply Didn’t Want To Be Involved With Him Anymore

Eleanor had already boarded the car and was startled. “Mrs. Guerra, are you okay?”

Lysander glanced down and noticed that the white gauze on her leg was now tinged with red blood.

Several assistants were also startled, “Dr. Thorne, are you okay?”

She gritted her teeth, pushing herself up from the ground. “I’m fine. Jinny, lend me a hand.”

Jinny reached out his hand.

Just as Lysander was about to grasp it, she suddenly felt her body grow light.

Josiah gently lifted her up and jumped onto the ambulance.

He gently placed her beside him and helped her sit down.

sander lowered her head. “Thank you.

“I should be the one saying that to you.”

Time was pressing, and there was no time to spare. Lysander raised her voice and ordered, “Sir, let’s go.”

The ambulance sped away from the resort hotel, down the mountain road.

The vehicle jolted slightly, so Lysander placed her hand behind Susan’s head to cushion the vibratio

Eleanor said, “Mrs. Guerra, let me do it.”

Lysander gave her a reassuring look. “It’s okay; this position works for me.”

“Dr. Thorne, the patient’s blood pressure is gradually rising.”

Lysander nodded. “Good, continue to monitor.

“Yes.”

“Is everything arranged with the hospital?”

“It’s all set, a resuscitation room has been cleared, and someone is waiting at the hospital entrance.”

Lysander breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s good.”

“Dr. Thorne”

“Yes?”

“Why did that lady just call you ‘Mrs. Guerra”?”

The person immediately shrunk back, afraid to speak further.

The ambulance encountered no obstacles along the way and arrived at the hospital earlier than expected.

Susan was immediately wheeled into the emergency room.

Lysander stood outside the emergency room, watching as the sign “Emergency in Progress” lit up, exhaling deeply.

Suddenly, there was a piercing pain in her calf.

Without needing to look, she knew she had fallen quite hard earlier. The wound must have reopened.

She had been so worried about Susan’s condition that she hadn’t noticed the pain until now.

“Mrs. Guerra.” Eleanor approached.

Lysander smiled and comforted her. “Don’t worry, I’ve found the best neurologist in the hospital for her/She’ll be alright.”

Eleanor clasped her hands together and closed her eyes, praying silently, “Madam hasn’t eaten any meat this month. She’s been fasting and praying every day. She’s reading the bible and hoping for God’s protection.”

“She’ll be fine. She’s a good person; good people always have heaven looking out for them.”

Eleanor sighed softly. “Thank goodness you were here today. If we had relied on Mr. Guerra-He was being held up by Miss Thorne and couldn’t get away at all. Madam’s condition would have been su delayed; the consequences would have been unthinkable.”

Lysander smiled but didn’t say anything.

When it came to Lysanne, she always maintained a neutral stance.

She wouldn’t speak ill of her, but she wouldn’t speak well of her either.

She simply didn’t want to be involved with her anymore, not even a bit.

The door to the resuscitation room suddenly opened and a nurse hurried out. “Is the family of Susan McKay here? The family of Susan McKay?”

“I’m here. I’m here.”

Eleanor rushed over anxiously. “Nurse, how is our Madam?”

The nurse frowned. “Your Madam? What is your relationship with Susan?”
