The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 5

Chapter 5 Hot Water

Ranita would have liked to walk away, but Amiya was wheelchair-bound due to a car accident and had a twisted and paranoid personality. If Ranita were to turn her head and leave, Amiya could cause chaos in the next second, leaving Brendon to clean up the mess in the end!

"Ha, I'm really pathetic. I still can't bear to see him in trouble," Ranita self-deprecatingly thought to herself.

"Mrs. Stuart, I'm sorry for being late," Ranita said calmly and unhurriedly, as usual, without a hint of anger. "What can I do for you?"

Being so composed, it made everyone present slightly curious.

Apart from not having a strong family background, Ranita actually had many good qualities. She was strikingly beautiful and ran a successful studio, earning her own income. If she had married someone from an ordinary family, she would surely be cherished and doted upon by her husband.

Unfortunately...

"The new chef here, Mr. Matt, is a foreigner. Since our family is having dinner together, it's not convenient to keep going back and forth to communicate with him. We can only trouble you!"

"What do you want to eat, how should it be prepared, and if there are any dietary restrictions, let her know."

Amiya spoke up, leaving the others to nervously order their dishes. When it was Brendon's turn, he parted his thin lips and said, "Just the same as before."

"Ranita, I'm fine with it just like Brendon!" Shannon finished her sentence and even tilted her head towards Brendon, giving Ranita a sweet look. "Please help us out, Ranita."

Ranita didn't overlook the flicker of disdain in Shannon's eyes and calmly said, "Please wait for a moment, everyone!"

She was good at taking notes, and after relaying the preferences and requests of the Stuart family to the chef, she returned to the private room.

Before she even entered, she heard Holly Stuart's complaining voice, "Why did you call her over? So annoying! Finally divorced my brother and now we need to kick her out as soon as possible..."

"Hmph! She cost us 1 million dollars to hire. How can we not make use of her?" Amiya replied coldly.

Ranita's throat felt sour, and she didn't feel good inside. She wasn't as strong as people thought; she could feel pain too.
