“Okay, I have agreed with Nikki about it. She is about to give birth anyway.”Shane said with a smile, making everyone embarrassed.

Ryan then took out wedding invitations to them, he said,"Iva and I are going to get married. Please remember to come, just on the first day of next month."

It was like a big slap on Nikki's face, and she couldn't yell at all.

Iva smirked and answered, "You all are Ryan's best friends and we hope to have your blessings."

Nikki’ face turned pale while sitting here as an ex-wife to listen to her ex-husband's marriage. It should be unbearable enough. Nikki took the invitation and opened it. Looking at the wedding picture which looked like a happy couple, Nikki smiled ironically.

She could still remember when she and Ryan got married, it was showing very hurriedly and not so grandly. She didn't even have a wedding photo. Sure enough, things had changed already.

Shane hit the table and couldn't bear to say, "Ryan, do you have any conscience? Why should you send invitation at this time? What did this woman next to you do to puzzle you into fascination and make you can't wait to get married!"

With a sound, all the people at the table became embarrassed, especially Ryan, who was frowning strongly. He could tolerate Shane because she was Joe 's wife. But at the moment when she blamed him and Iva, he didn't want to hold back anymore. Raising his head,he said coldly, "What did Iva do to provoke you? You and Nikki are good friends. I can understand any dissatisfaction for this. But don't bring personal prejudice to the dinner table to talk."

"Personal prejudice? What prejudice can I have? You have no conscience at all!" Shane said angrily.

Nikki didn't want the situation to be so embarrassed while they were having a meal. She held Shane's hand and said, "Shane, sit down, There so many people watching. Aren’t you afraid of being laughed by others."

"I just let them all see how this pair of lover live up to you, Ryan, don’t take amnesia as a guise. You are a scumbag and did so much bad things for Nikki. If you realize in the future, you even don’t deserve her forgiveness.You don't deserve it."Shane said excitedly.

“Enough, Shane!” Nikki didn't want her to keep talking. Nobody knew whether all the facts will be exposed,"Don't worry about my business!"

Shane looked back at Nikki. She just wanted to fight for her, but her reaction made Shane little disappointed. Nikki didn't want to do this, and said in a panic, "I'll go out and you can enjoy it slowly."

It wasn't what Nikki wanted to see for making the gathering so difficult.Walking out of the restaurant, Nikki hid her face and couldn't put up with such a depressing atmosphere. It was not the right time to visit Shane today.How could she know she would meet Ryan? Turning around, she saw Ryan standing behind her.Nikki stopped and turned back as if she hadn't seen him.

"Is the baby okay?" Ryan asked indifferently without knowing his emotions.

“It is fine.” Nikki answered.

Her voice was colder than Ryan. It could be told her hater for Ryan was as much as her love .

“Why are you becoming so thin? Aren’t you getting well in your life?” Ryan continued to ask.

“How I live has nothing to do with you.”Nikki wanted to leave. Then she glanced at Shane in the restaurant, and decided not to say goodbye. "I'm leaving. Please help me to inform Shane about this."

Just as Nikki was about to leave, Ryan grabbed her arm. Nikki turned back, stared at Ryan, and asked, "What do you want to do, we're divorced. It is none of your business even if I really have anything in trouble."

Nikki's face was much whiter than before.It was a kind of pale white. How could Ryan ignore Nikki's abnormality which was not the same as before."It's not that cold, you still wear a hat, and you just drank a few mouthfuls of porridge just now. Are you uncomfortable? Is there anything you don’t told me?"

Nikki smiled suddenly and said calmly, "I say I have cancer. Do you believe it?"

Ryan loosed her hand and clenched his lips, "This joke is not funny at all."

"So, Ryan, I don't love you anymore, don't bother me." Nikki turned back with tears in her eyes. Even though they would greet each other, but there was no love at all.

After Nikki took a few steps, Ryan said, "Nikki, I've always had headaches lately, and I often see shadow of your figure in my head. Why?"

Ryan didn't understand that he had no love for Nikki and liked Iva. But Nikki's figure appeared more and more frequently in his mind, which was not like his style at all. He was puzzled and wanted to find an answer. But he failed to find any explanation after telling Nikki about this.

Nikki's tears dripped down, and the bones of her hands turned white. "I bless you and Iva, don't tell me these useless things, I don't love you anymore."

"I also hope you could find your happiness," Ryan responded.

After so many years of entanglement, the love-hate things between Nikki and him should also end. He just hoped that Nikki would live a better life, at least better than being with him.

Nikki wiped away her tears and said with a smile, "I'm going to be with Carl, you know, he always loves me better than you. He is the man who is most suitable for me. We have to consider it clearly. How stupid will I be if I never let you go. You can be assured by the fact that I find happiness. Now I am happier than being with you.”
