Ryan kept silent and stared at Nikki's face for a long time. He sincerely blessed Nikki, but Nikki said that she was dating with Carl. He was unhappy for this thing. But why he was unwilling under the situation that he was going to get married with Iva? How could he stop them?

Ryan didn’t shifted his sight until Nikki got on the taxi. But every time when he closed his eyes, he would think of Nikki's desperate face. He had a terrible headache for the limited picture that reflected back in his mind. He didn't know why would he think of Nikki. It seemed that everything was related to Nikki.

Ryan took the pills out of his pocket and eat one of the pills. So his headache was relieved.

Was she dating with Carl?

That was good.

Ryan smiled bitterly and held his fists tightly with no regrets in his mind.

These days Ryan often got headaches, and the dose of medicine was getting larger and larger. He had not taken so many headache medicines when he was with Nikki. It seems that life was not so easy without Nikki.

Every time when Ryan looked at Iva's figure, he would consider Iva as Nikki. Seeing the scar on Iva's back, Ryan would remember the bulge on Nikki's spine.

He had a car accident before, and his parents died in that accident. That year he was twenty-one years old. When he woke up, he found that Iva was taking care of him. If Iva hadn’t save him with all her life that year, he might have died together with his parents. So his feelings on Iva had something about gratitude and dependence.

His couldn’t fall in love with Nikki because their marriage was also a restriction given by Nikki's father. He was going to marry Iva originally. However he was restrained by Nikki’s father with his parents' death and their business. He was forced to marry Nikki. If he didn't marry Nikki, he would become poor. And the business of his parents would be destroyed in his hands. He had no choice but to marry Nikki and give up Iva.

After all these years, Ryan was still living in the shadow of that year. Without Nikki's father, maybe he and Iva didn't need to waste so much time to be together.

Iva entered the bedroom and sat on Ryan's leg in sexy pajamas. She said, "Ryan, let's have a rest."

She tried to seduces Ryan by any means, but Ryan didn't seem to have any interests. Ryan was so lost in thought that he couldn't focus on Iva at all. Iva was a little annoyed. She moved her body like a water snake and wrapped around Ryan to touch him.

Ryan realized and grabbed Iva's hand, then he asked, "Iva, how did you save me before?"

Asked by Ryan in such a situation, Iva froze. It was the worst thing that she didn’t want to remember about it. But Ryan was also lost in the shadow of it. She answered,"Why do you ask again? Everyone in that car accident was died except you. Your parents died, too. It was I who dragged you out, and then the car exploded. The scar on my back was caused by my act to protect you.”

Talking about this thing, Iva was still frightened by that and did not want to remember the tragedy of that year.

Ryan touched her back. He had touched the scar for numerous times. But he was always confused. The scar was familiar and strange, always making him feel that something was wrong.

"Iva, thank you for doing this for me. If without you, I would have died." Ryan held Iva in his arms. Both he and Iva are their first lover for each other. If it wasn't for Nikki's interruption, maybe he and Iva had lived together happily for a long time. He should not doubt Iva for Nikki.

Ryan went to buy a wedding ring but met Carl. Carl and a woman walked into the jewelry store. Ryan frowned immediately when he saw Carl and a woman embracing together. Wasn't Nikki and Carl together?Why Carl was still intimate with other women.

"What a coincidence to meet you here. I heard that you got married with Iva. Ryan, you are so quick to do that." Carl was a little decadent with his red eyes. It looked like he hadn't slept for several nights. The woman beside him was holding Carl, and said with a smile, "Carl, last night didn't you promised to send me a diamond necklace?Let's go quickly."

"Okay, let's go," Carl said.

Ryan's face grew angry so he grabbed Carl, and asked, "What do you mean to be so intimate with other women? How do you treat Nikki?"

After hearing this, Carl sneered and shook off Ryan's hand. Carl hadn't settled matters with Ryan yet, but this time Ryan began first. Carl said, "Are you guilty of saying this? It is you that failed to treat Nikki well. Why do you care about her for the fact that you have already got married with Iva.”

"Aren't you dating with Nikki? Aren’t you sorry for her?" Ryan shouted excitedly.

"Well." Carl laughed lightly and grabbed Ryan's collar. "So you are shadowing your responsibility by saying it on purpose. I chased Nikki for so many years. Would she have to wait five years if she wants to be with me? Don't say these words to fool me!”

Ryan was shocked, and his face changed so bad. He knew that Carl didn't have to lie to him. If he was together with Nikki, he would like to show it in front of him every day. Where would he talk to him in this way?

Carl and the woman were gone. Ryan still stood in his place, wondering why Nikki lied to him.

He lost his interest to select the ring. Ryan went directly to Shane and asked, "Shane, is Nikki together with Carl?"

Shane was teasing her baby, and suddenly saw Ryan come here. She answered ironically, "It is none of your business no matter who was dating with Nikki. Please don’t so pretentious in front of me?”

"So Nikki is lying to me, right?" Ryan frowned and panicked.

"Please leave. I don't want to see you. If Nikki has anything in trouble, it is your fault. Your won't know the crime given by you is so severe." Shane snapped while her eyed turned red.
