After venting, Jodie did not want to face Raina anymore, nor did she want to argue. Hence, she simply rushed out the door despite the rain outside.

The raindrops dripped coldly against her face, and her clothes were soaked through in no time.

She found a roof to take shelter from the rain before calling Margaret. “Meg, I’m sorry. I don’t have any money… I should’ve expected that my mother would definitely keep an eye on the money in my hands. She secretly spent the money. Margaret looked at the rain outside through the kitchen’s glass window. At this time, she could feel Jodie’s mood as well. They were both people at the end of their ropes.
